2023 Corsair orders, build dates

My 2020 Corsair Reserve is coming off lease soon so I went to the dealer and it was just awful. No 2023 cars to show, no color samples, no leather samples, cannot even see colors in other models as they have nothing in stock, no idea when they might get cars, no deals, high interest rates. We were left looking at a big screen with lots of sun glare while the salesperson tried to show us what the car would look like, and the photos from Lincoln were all taken in the dark and you can barely make out any detail. I got a better idea of what the car might look like from my smartphone screen. Why would anyone switch from Lexus or Cadillac to a Corsair under these circumstances? The Lexus and BMW dealers at least had something to show us, even if it was not exactly what we wanted. Ford/Lincoln needs to remove their head from their poop hole and figure out how to effectively sell cars in a supply constrained world.
I agree we ordered smoked truffle interior without really knowing what it looked like. Long story but I cancelled my order after 7 mo wait. Went to a Cadillac dealer not only did they have huge paint on metal samples but their different synthetic leather as well as real leather samples hanging like a large chamois. Ended up getting a 2023 XT4 off the lot instead of ordering a 2024. It was going to be my first Lincoln but honestly the Cadillac experience was much better and the seats are more comfortable. Always thought Ford was a leader in the industry but not anymore.

We too live in a State requiring front plates. However I've seen more Teslas and Corvettes here without the front plate than with them. I wonder how they handle traffic stops or if they even happen?
One can always roll the dice. Probably a Fix it ticket.

@gtw00 Congratulations! I hope you enjoy yours Corsair as much as I enjoy mine.

Notwithstanding the recent photos showing the placement of the front license plate vertically straddling the front bumper, is this something that could vary by the dealership? In this photo (from the Facebook Corsair group), the license plate appears to be *ABOVE* the front bumper... higher and closer to the grill's Lincoln logo.

In this photo, the car's first contact point with a wall would be the bumper. In the other photos in this thread, the car's first contact point would be the license plate. Given the choice, I prefer the higher placement. The lower part of the grill is ornamental anyway... the functional airflow portion of the grill is above the license plate.
