My Lincoln
2020 Corsair
As you can tell I just joined here. I picked up a 2020 reserve for the Mrs and am getting it situated to our liking. I just received an oem cargo mat and am not that thrilled with it. It is more hard plastic than rubber and came rolled up in a box so I'm going to have to take a heat gun to it (or wait for the hot summer days) to get it to lay flat. Has anyone purchased the Weathertech one? Is it any better then the OEM one as far as being flexible? I do like the cargo mats to keep any spilled goods from going all over the trunk, but so far I'm not caring for this one. Thanks.

Lincoln.

You just bought a gorgeous vehicle from Lincoln. Their mats work just fine, and they have the logos and look suitable for your vehicle. I have had them in my 2020 and now 2022 Nav with absolutely zero issues, and they look great.

I had the same delima as you and I eventualy choose to go the weathertech route. I personaly like the weathertechs espacialy if you have the dark brown carpet. The Lincoln matts are black only while the weathertechs come in a dark brown (Cocoa) which match the interior much better in my opinion. I wish Lincoln would offer them in dark brown but they dont.

I have had all of them. Doesn’t matter what they’re made out of as long as they protect the carpet right ? I will tell you both of them if you get a lot of water in them will leak the water into the carpet where the locating snaps are. I live in the northeast and have had plenty of snow melt into them. The weather tech does cover more than the factory ones. My Corsair came with the factory ones. But GF ordered me these and I put them on top of the factory ones. They look nice and cover way more area than any brand.
Amazon.

@Billdozer Are the Weathertechs a flexible rubber material or are they more of a hard plastic?
I can't speak for the Weathertech mats for the Corsair specifically, but we had a Weathertech cargo mat in the Outlander we owned previously and it was hard plastic. Pretty much like the factory mat we have in our Corsair now.

For what it's worth, I understand that Lincoln used Weathertech as a subcontractor to produce their custom floormats. The custom mats have the Lincoln logo, but they were only contracted in black.

@DomDoobie Thanks for the reply, but I was referring to the Weathertech cargo mat in particular. I'm good with the floormats I have.
Those are like all weather mats. That’s the thing. They’re soft easily cleanable and waterproof. The go way higher up than Lincoln and weather tech and cover even down the side of the passenger and drivers seat. The also have a piece that goes under the seats. In the back they go all the way up the carpet under the seats. Like I said before. I do have the Lincoln plastic all weather mats under them. They’re ok but ur foot will get dirt by the gas pedal and the left footrest because there’s not enough coverage. The other point I was making is that both Lincoln all weather mats and weather tech WILL leak water into the carpet by the floor fasteners if you get a lot of water. Trust me I’ve had all of them for years ! I have mats in mats because I never want the carpet to get dirty. I’m a neurotic lol

To each his own, I couldn't care less if dirt gets on or near the brake/gas pedals and footrest.

Yeah it’s just me. I try to keep things like new and I buy my cars not
Lease them. So I’ll prob end up having it longer than a lease

Idk with the Lincoln all weather mats the dirt gets all over there and it’s a lot. Those Amazon ones gf got….they pretty much cover everything. I Do a lot of work at different job sites so I end up tracking lot of stuff inside even when I try not to. I had the horrors this week lol. Had to work ar a former prison with dirt roads and clay and the roads were wet. The clay got into the sidewalls of the tires and the hose wouldn’t take it out. Had to actually get a brush and scrub them ! I went home at lunch and washed the car knowing it was going to rain it was so bad

They are not as rubbery in my opinion as the Lincoln mats. I wanted the Lincoln logo but... The dk, brown cocoa Weathertechs match the sandstone inerior woth the brown cartpeting so much better then the Lincoln black matts. Lincold missed the mark on not offering matching floor mats/cargo mats. If you can, check out the Weathertech vs Lincoln liners for both floor and cargo area and youll quickly see the Weathertech is the only choice unless your interior is black,

dont choose weathertech, go for the husky mats, they r way much much durable and soft, from my 6years exp

Of course, whether or not black all weather mats look good in a vehicle depending on the carpet color is entirely subjective.

Well since the Lincoln Corsair is a glorified Ford Escape then it is all subjective, lol.

True, just like asking for opinions on cargo liners or floor mats, or anything you buy on the internet that has thousands of reviews, all that matters is how you like something after you purchase it.

I've purchased things with great reviews that I thought were horrible.
