The saga goes on and on and on. After receiving the Dec. 7th message (above), this is the message (below) I received on Dec. 14... talked with the dealer and they told me they checked with Lincoln and it's definitely built and will be delivered no later than Dec. 22nd. Todays the 26th....no '22 Corsair GT for me yet! Since I also have a '23 model on order this one will NOT be taken if it ever comes in.So today Dec. 7th I received this message;
"Your 2022 Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring has been built. We are performing some final inspections on your vehicle and preparing to ship it to your dealer.
Our current estimate for delivery is between December 6, 2022 and December 12, 2022."
Interesting I get the message on the 7th that they are doing final inspections but delivery is anywhere from yesterday to Dec 12th? So much for timely communication!
I got the same email notification — word-for-word — on December 21 (see below). They're obviously having problems.As promised, we want to update you on the status of your Lincoln Corsairorder. Unfortunately, we are still experiencing delays due to supply‑chain challenges.
Please understand that while it’s taking longer than usual to produce your vehicle, we are doing all we can to minimize the delays.
We are singularly focused on delivering your new Corsair, and we are fully committed to keeping you updated on your vehicle’s status. We will let you know as soon as more information becomes available. We apologize for any inconvenience and truly appreciate your patience and understanding.
Todd, My '23 GT model was ordered September 13th (one day later than you) and I've only received the confirmation from Lincoln that the order was received. How long ago did you get a build date and was it from the dealer or Lincoln?My 2023 Corsait GT was ordered September 12th 2022. My build date is the week of January 16th 2023.
Fingers crossed.
Thanks...odd I've only received the acknowledgment of the order. It was ordered with every option so maybe something is making mine as a later delivery. Just hope it doesn't turn into the '22 model fiasco and take 10+ month buildout, otherwise maybe it'll be built by Dec of '23!On November 17th I rec'd an email from Lincoln showing me my Order # and Vin #. The said it would be built the week of Jan. 9th 2023.
Then on Dec 12th Lincoln sent me another email changing the build date to the week of January 16th 2023 due to a production adjustment.
Keep in mind that order priority has many factors such as your dealer and their ranking with Lincoln. The larger volume dealers get preference. Smaller dealers get less volume when there are shortage of supply. My dealer is the 4th largest Lincoln dealer on the East Coast. I got mine in 2 months time last year because they already had an order in for 4 similarly configured Corsair GT models. The entire truckload of GT models were delivered the same day with mine one of them. It's not order ranking as they come in to Lincoln but based on how many of certain vehicles the dealer is allocated and how much volume history they have with Lincoln. Your dealer may share with you their history and timing of vehicles come to them in the recent past.Thanks...odd I've only received the acknowledgment of the order. They do make a Hybrid Corsair!!Some of the following is a little bit satirical, and is MY opinion.Apologies in advance, as I know the frustrations many here are having even getting their new Corsairs.
Over the years, I often thought it would be nice to get the upgrades the "next year model" offers. In the Corsair's case, this is (bigger infotainment screen, Sync 4 for example, but losing fog lights) however, with the current supply chain issues, losing the hands free tailgate, and subwoofer, I am glad I have the '22 model, and will continue driving it for the foreseeable future, comfortable in knowing I have a "complete vehicle".I am glad I bought it when I did, and I smile every time I get behind the wheel and drive away, knowing I can quickly fill up with fuel at almost anywhere I choose, and don't have to spend money upgrading my house electrics.
Don't get me wrong, I LOVE new tech, (I am often the first of my friends and family to get said new tech) and will likely eventually go EV, but the time is not yet right for me. Our other car is a Hybrid. IF Lincoln made a Hybrid Corsair, I would have one.

On Dec 27th received this from Lincoln. Bear in mind it's now Jan 7th and still a "No Show". Since I have a '23 on order I officially cancelled the '22 build and requested my deposit back. The dealer now says even if it came in it couldn't be sold to anyone. There is a recall on the seat belt warning chime and no Corsairs or Aviators can be sold until repaired. Parts are backordered until possibly March! https://www.cars.com/articles/not-r...led-for-seat-belt-warning-malfunction-460890/The saga goes on and on and on. If it wasn't clear in my previous post, my order is for a 2023 Corsair GT... even though the notice from Lincoln shows the grill of a 2022 Corsair.I got the same email notification — word-for-word — on December 21 (see below). If it wasn't clear in my previous post, my order is for a 2023 Corsair GT... even though the notice from Lincoln shows the grill of a 2022 Corsair.
I have since found out that my Lincoln dealer had used up all of their order allocations for the 2022 calendar year. My order for the 2023 GT was placed in September 2022 but it has been sitting in limbo (with no projected production week) until the end of 2022.
Now that there are updated dealership allocations for 2023, my order should finally move into the production queue. Of course, that brings in all the other obstacles of supply chain issues, yadda yadda. I don't know how this affecting Ford Escape PHEV production... but I guess those are facing the same delays.
At this point, I don't think ANY 2023 Corsairs have been built... regardless if they're ICE or PHEV. Has anyone heard different?
