2023 Corsair orders, build dates

Yup. There's a hint of this missing subwoofer situation on Page 9 of the 2023 Lincoln Corsair Order Guide. At the top of the page, it lists "Lincoln Premium Audio System Subwoofer Delete -- Late Availability" as an available option (86E) when ordering a 2023 Corsair Reserve.

My wife did not specify this option on her order, but apparently Lincoln deleted the subwoofer anyway.
Where can one find this order guide for 2023 models?

Hi Jameeto. I have attached the 2023 Lincoln Corsair Dealer Order Guide below.

Good luck.

If anyone gets a build date for a GT, please share. I am wondering how late in the job they will queue up some GTs.

Not sure if you're asking about a '22 or a '23 Build Date. I'm still waiting for a build date on a '22 GT that was ordered in Feb. It's continually moved back due to sully chain issues!

REALLY sorry to hear this. I truly feel for you.

This is exactly what I was concerned with when I was trying to decide between the GT and the Reserve. I decided on a Reserve that was in-bound and fit my option choices exactly. My dealer had told me 6 months for a GT, and that was also in Feb/early March. You are looking at close to 10 months! What does your dealer say?

The Dealer has been updated by Lincoln all along but their hands are tied too. They were so concerned that the "22 would eventually be canceled (like Ford did to Maverick orders) they agreed that another order be placed for a '23.

If the '22 is built before the end of the year, I'll take it. Assuming the '23 will also be a late delivery I'll probably take that one too and then sell the '22. If the '22 is built and the '23 looks like an early delivery the Dealer is more than happy to put the '22 in their (non-existent) inventory. I'm sure someone will gobble it up quick.

Luckily our '16 MKX is in good running condition and I'm not in dire straights for a set of wheels. Feel sorry for people that really need wheels now because of mechanical issues/accidents etc

What a cluster this whole process has been!

Does anyone know, is the 2023 Corsair models still on schedule to begin building 12/12/2022? My 2022 model ordered in Feb., 2022 has still not begun production as of today so I'm strongly thinking it'll be canceled. This is my latest message from Lincoln on the order, dated Nov 17th......

Thank you for choosing Lincoln. We wanted to update you on the status of your Lincoln Corsair order. While production of your vehicle was projected to begin the week of November 7, 2022, supply‑chain challenges continue to cause delays and uncertainty.

We apologize for any inconvenience and are working diligently to reduce the delays to get you on the road in your new vehicle.

We know you’re excited for your new Lincoln, so we will keep you updated as more information becomes available, at least once every 45 days. Once your vehicle is built, you’ll be the first to know. In the meantime, we appreciate your patience and understanding.

Hi LM. Yes, if it is correct, the last production information I can find for the 2023 Corsair still lists the JOB1 date as 12/12.

However, it would be best to contact the Sales Manager at your Lincoln Dealership to get the latest information, assuming they are competent and know how to perform their job. In this way, you can also get a head start to have your order changed over to a 2023 if necessary.
You can also contact Lincoln Concierge to see if they can help with more information.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.

bbf, That was a certainly a good idea. I assumed since I hadn't heard anything it was in Production limbo. The dealer also hadn't heard anything so he assumed nothing was scheduled yet. He did some further checking and lo and behold, he was told its built and expected 12/22! He was surprised they dropped the ball on communication to them and me as well. I guess I'll believe it when I see it. I almost wish they canceled it since I was so frustrated I also put an order in for a '23. Maybe that'll be built before '24!

The dealers have access to an internal Ford system that tracks the VIN throughout its lifecycle. Many dealers seem inexperienced at this system or they don't know how to access it. My Lincoln dealer had no clue but my Ford sales rep knew instantly how to check and told me my car was in transit from the train depot to the dealership and would be there the next day. I would ask the dealer to track it via the Ford system.

My Salesman said they get notified when something happens in the Production phase, ie its being built, its built, it's being shipped etc. This time they received no notices so they proactively checked only to be surprised it's now built. My decision now is whether to accept it and wait for the '23 model on order to be built or refuse it and just wait for the '23. The fear there is how long will it take for the '23 to come in?

So today Dec. 7th I received this message;

"Your 2022 Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring has been built. We are performing some final inspections on your vehicle and preparing to ship it to your dealer.
Our current estimate for delivery is between December 6, 2022 and December 12, 2022."

Interesting I get the message on the 7th that they are doing final inspections but delivery is anywhere from yesterday to Dec 12th? So much for timely communication!

Reminded me of when I worked for a company that made control systems; we always joked that our timelines were so tight that we'd have to send engineers and developers on the truck as they shipped "completed" systems to the customer. I had this image of Lincoln QC staff "performing some final inspections" en route on the auto carrier :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Interesting...

I guess I'll have to call Lincoln Concierge and see if we can get more information. Our dealer/salesrep hasn't been that straight forward. I check in with him each week (he doesn't seem to be interested in keeping us informed) on our status.

We ordered in Apr. It was in production in Oct. It reached Built status on 11/02/22! It's not been shipped yet... In our last call to our salesperson (last week) it was supposed to be "released next week for a railcar" (that's the response we've been getting since the middle of Nov!)... In checking right now we our Corsair GT has not moved to "Shipped" status yet!?!?!?

Waiting patiently...

is there a way to get a copy of the order guide?

Hi gtw and welcome to the Lincoln Forums. The 2023 Corsair Dealer Order Guide? Yes. See Post #23 above, in this thread.

Good luck.

Out of curiosity... Did you get that msg from your dealer? Or Lincoln Concierge? Or who?

I checked with Lincoln Concierge today and they told me all they can see is our 22 Corsair GT is "Awaiting Shipment"... He said he cannot even see when it was "ordered" or "in production" or "built" information. He said the dealership has better information...

I checked with my local salesrep (again) and he says (as he's said in the past) our 22 Corsair GT is "Released". And he said that his latest information was as of 12/5/22 (we were built as of 11/2/22). He put me on hold and "checked the system again", and there were "no updates". He said the next steps that the dealership sees are "awaiting a railcar assignment", and then he can track the city location... I've heard the "railcar assignment" wording since the middle of Nov... I'm sure the potential railway strike didn't help us...

Waiting patiently...

The message I copied was an email from Lincoln, NOT the Lincoln Dealership or Sales Rep. It was addressed from Lincoln.com
