2023 Corsair orders, build dates

I ordered a 2023 Corsair Reserve in the middle of September. I received an order confirmation email the next day but nothing since. Does anyone have a build date scheduled yet? My understanding is that production starts late next month.

My wife ordered a 2023 Corsair Reserve on September 21. She received an order-confirmation e-mail message within hours of placing the order, but crickets since then. Hoping for some news from Lincoln soon.

UPDATE: My wife just received an e-mail message from Lincoln saying that her 2023 Corsair Reserve is scheduled for production during the week of January 9, 2023. Lincoln also included the VIN and a link to their vehicle-tracking website.

Read my current Post under heading" build on window sticker question on a GT". My '23 GT was ordered Sept 14, 2022 but based on my '22 model ordered in February 2022 and not built yet I'm questioning delivery of anything this or next year. I know there are supply issues but I have a fundamental problem of paying for something that's already depreciated by a full model year before its delivered.

Looks like a good thread to follow, we ordered a '23 GT on Saturday 11/19/22. Got the immediate "we have your order" email, and it's helpful to read here about when to expect anything next. I won't be holding my breath, just checking now and then.

Welcome to the forum and congratulations on your '23 GT order. I also have an order for the '23 GT (after my previous order for the '22 GT).

Your next step should be to contact the Lincoln Concierge (1-800-521-4140). The Concierge is a free service and will give you periodic updates via email. Most of the time, the update will be to tell you that there is no update... but they will provide feedback that lets you know you have not been forgotten.

OK. So thus far, we know of two 2023 Corsairs scheduled to be built during the week of January 9 next year.

Another update on my wife's '23 Corsair order: Yesterday, we were running errands and decided to stop at our local Lincoln dealership to say hello. Our sales guy was pleased to see us and offered to check his computer for any updates on my wife's Corsair order.

He printed an up-to-date Order Summary page for us, and I noticed two changes from the Order Summary we received on the day we placed the order. Specifically:

1. The Priority Code had changed from 19 to 02 (that's a good thing).

2. There was a $250 price reduction due to "subwoofer delete" (that's not a good thing).

Our sales guy said the subwoofer was removed from the order by Lincoln because of component shortages. He couldn't explain why the Priority Code had changed, but I know for fact that 02 is a higher priority than 19.

Yup. There's a hint of this missing subwoofer situation on Page 9 of the 2023 Lincoln Corsair Order Guide. At the top of the page, it lists "Lincoln Premium Audio System Subwoofer Delete -- Late Availability" as an available option (86E) when ordering a 2023 Corsair Reserve.

My wife did not specify this option on her order, but apparently Lincoln deleted the subwoofer anyway.

Some of the following is a little bit satirical, and is MY opinion. Apologies in advance, as I know the frustrations many here are having even getting their new Corsairs.

Over the years, I often thought it would be nice to get the upgrades the "next year model" offers. In the Corsair's case, this is (bigger infotainment screen, Sync 4 for example, but losing fog lights) however, with the current supply chain issues, losing the hands free tailgate, and subwoofer, I am glad I have the '22 model, and will continue driving it for the foreseeable future, comfortable in knowing I have a "complete vehicle". I am glad I bought it when I did, and I smile every time I get behind the wheel and drive away, knowing I can quickly fill up with fuel at almost anywhere I choose, and don't have to spend money upgrading my house electrics.

Don't get me wrong, I LOVE new tech, (I am often the first of my friends and family to get said new tech) and will likely eventually go EV, but the time is not yet right for me. Our other car is a Hybrid. IF Lincoln made a Hybrid Corsair, I would have one.

I know your comment was tongue-in-cheek but we ordered a '22 GT in the middle September that has been built and shipped (eta. to dealer Dec 2nd). We too (my wife and I) were not considering, nor felt ready for a PHEV as we were looking to get another 2.3. But I must admit we are now looking forward to dipping our feet into the EV waters. I guess time will tell if it was the right choice.

I can't begin to tell you how disappointed I am in the Sync 3 system which remains slow and seemingly outdated.

I was going to upgrade my 22 GT to a 23 but after careful consideration over the $15k price tag of doing so, it was not worth it.

So, secretly, a smile comes to my face knowing the shortfalls these 23 vehicles are experiencing. And, apologies for saying that openly. No offense to 23 buyers.

Are these GT models that are not getting subwoofers? That would seem strange as that is the top trim model and I would assume Lincoln is not going short-change those vehicles.

Hi JB. The Corsair GT is a Plug-in Hybrid vehicle. It has a 2.5L engine and electric motors. Perhaps I misunderstood what you were saying, or I missed that part of the satire?

Yeah, I am not always the best author! My fault.

I know the GT is a plug-in and has a much smaller fuel tank, then the ICE version (in my case, 2.0L) which would be a problem on long road trips, that we love to take. If Lincoln made a NON plug-in Hybrid, I would have been trying real hard to get one.

To reverse a common saying, I am not ready to cut (for) the cord.

That's how I was feeling about my 2020! There are still some aspects of it (standard) that I would prefer to still have rather than having had to get the 2022 (reserve) that replaced it. They're minor items that would not have affected my decision in the first place, had they never been there, but they *were* and are no longer, and *that* bugs me. Still love the 2022, though ...

Yeah, having read and viewed all the reviews I could find before buying my 2021 Reserve, (as you may remember, totaled on Black Friday 2021) I was surprised by some of the obvious cost cutting Lincoln used starting with the 21's. Deleted engine cover, which I installed after purchase, but no longer care. I would like the climate control set temp, digital display window, and the door panels (front) with more of the "soft touch" rather that more hard plastic. I am indifferent about the rear seat arm-rest cup holder change. is.

BTW, today is exactly one year since our accident on 11/26/2021, it was Black Friday last year, and 11/26 will always be Black Friday for us).

From a September 22 FordAuthority.com post: This option – officially called Lincoln Premium Audio System Subwoofer Delete – applies to examples equipped with the system of the same name that is included on the 2023 Lincoln Corsair Standard, Reserve, and Grand Touring. That sound system includes 10 speakers, a total that includes subwoofers. It’s worth noting that this delete option does not impact the 14-speaker Revel Audio System and its single sub, which is available on the Standard, Reserve, and Grand Touring.

I hope that the wiring is there so I can install my own subwoofer when my 2023 comes in.
