Love my new Corsair Reserve but I have noticed rattles popping up when driving on anything other than very smooth roads.
The sounds seem to be concentrated on the passenger side and near the rear door or cargo area.
I had a loaner for a day and it has the same rattles but more pronounced. It sounds almost as if there are loose items bouncing around in the door pocket.
Anyone else have this issue or if so, what can be done?
Thanks!

Those can be fix under warranty

Yeah, they should be able to. But rattles can be hard to pinpoint, and not always present themselves when at the dealership. Which is frustrating.

The service departments seem to have a lot of trouble. They make sure things are put together with the manufacturers attachments, I don't even know if they're allowed to make modifications if the parts rattle, like adding foam or felt.

Sorry for those who are having minor and major issues. PLEASE do me a favor. Dont start fear mongering. I almost let some of the situations in the forum here give me FEAR that my vehicle would be rotten. Its turned out to be OUTSTANDINGLY FLAWLESS so far. I've driven over 4100 miles in 5 weeks, including last weekends turnaround trip from Atl to Orlando and back. My '19 MKZ Hybrid and '17 Fusion Hybrid were flawless. I also know that MOST complaints come from the section that screams the loudest, but its usually a small percentage that LOOKS and seems larger or more common.

I don’t see any fear mongering. These forums are a place to discuss issues with the car. This car is only in its second year and I have heard many buyback stories. I have also heard many good stories. My 20 had many issues my 21 hasn’t had any.

I’m interested in hearing peoples issues and perhaps those who had those issues can help. It’s educational.

Thanks for your comment, but let me be very clear- I didnt say people were doing the fear mongering. I said dont let fear get you all worked up. Not taking away from anyone's experience, good or bad. But if you ONLY read the 2-5% of bad reports (hopefully you get the idea), then you might start to EXPECT yours to act up.

I totally agree about learning from people's issues, but if you ONLY hear of folks having problems in their marriage, its easy to start looking at yours suspicious. Same principle applied to the car.

agreed

Agreed. I would also add that the first year of any new model is always/usually fraught with issues. I read the Mustang Mach-E forum as I had ordered one but cancelled after discovering the Corsair. Many issues come top with first year models. It's happened here with the Corsair and happened with the Mach-E. I read the Tesla sites and see all kinds of issues. For that reason, I NEVER EVER buy the first year model of any car because this is the way of the world mostly. Not saying every car runs into issues the first year, but I sure have seen them with Ford, Tesla, GM, Chrysler, Nissan, etc. It's just the nature of the beast. I worked in the software business for over 30 years and I can tell you that software ALWAYS has glitches in it. I liked to advise customers to wait until the 3rd release of a software version because by that time the major issues get identified and fixed. Again, nature of the beast. So, those having issue with 2020 models of the Corsair as bound to have run into issues that those of us with 22 models will never see. My 22 GT is flawless and the best built Ford/Lincoln I have ever bought. I've had Ford cars since the 1970's and each time they make better and better cars.

I read that Lincoln is replacing the engine/hybrid system in the mid-year 23 model of the GT. Why? They have figured out an improvement of some sort and making the change. They are also adding Sync 4 and wireless CarPlay. I would not want to buy that first edition as there will be bugs for sure. I would wait until 24 or 25 if I was buying a new GT to make sure any kinks get addressed.

Friendly bump to see if anyone has had any luck from their dealership on finding and fixing their rattles?

I just left my dealership with the rattle(rear panel, passenger side) hood as new. That is, for about 5 miles away from the dealership. Then the incessant rattling returned. The service crew was super nice, and we all thought it was solved. But: no. Back now for the 3rd time to the shop.

Sorry to hear that, Ontkean. I have found the Corsair the quietest car I have ever owned or even been in. Incredible sound proofing. Lincoln did a great job on the design, the ride, the technology. No complaints and nothing but great experiences of far these past couple of months. This is my first Lincoln and I will probably buy one of Lincoln's EV vehicles in 5-6 years. I figure a lot is going to change in the EV space in 5 years. My Corsair is my "bridge to electric" car. Love it.

I’ve identified it as the panel between the moon roofs. Going to check with the dealer service center, but will probably put a piece of foam up there.
I have found that too It’s like when sun panel is open I press up on aluminum and seems to disappear Also lens protector on lights on doors are loose too

Yes I have. I asked they put Velcro in rear door but it is still rattling. Just not as loud as before.

So I’ve made an appointment with Lincoln to pick my car up. Hopefully this is enough proof of they can’t replicate it. I made a video of the rattle, this is when it’s doing it mildly, sometimes it’s much worse.

Doesnt sound like much other than regular road noise to me. Sorry I missed it.

Yeah I understand, it’s not a great video. It’s most pronounced about 15 seconds on. Sounding like a vibration. But I appreciate you’re at least listening to it.

Hi, same problem with mine (2020 reserve) I had one the was on the panel of the tailgate (so they say) the clips were ? broke etc. ok repaired, had to have the rear camera replaced as the recall didn't help so believe the panel is not the best reinstall. BUT more importantly rear passenger side (right if sitting in car a VERY DISTINTCT vibration rattle on rough roads, ( neighborhood etc) and in my case up to about 30mph I had the dealer check, of course can't duplicate. aggregates the heck out of me as I tend to focus on it and mumble, 50k + shouldn't have this. Still searching. On another note, the front passenger headrest was vibrating causing a "rattle" raised the headrest disappeared, back down rattle. One day I had some tools in back, passenger side in boot area and small ladder, VIBRATIONS of everything as if the whole right side (passenger) of the car was vibrating. I crammed some foam strips around suspect spots but to no avail. If I find an answer I'll certainly post. Hopefully some member will have the cure. I too will do a video I think and hopefully capture, had to do that with the "wind noise" issue... please, keep the forum advised...

I've had other brands of cars with the same noise. Very hard to track down. Could be wires within the doors or even the wiring in the pillars vibrating. Push hard in those areas while somebody else is driving and try to track it down. I had one car that did this and I put soundproofing on everything inside the doors and could never get rid of it. Traded the car eventually. I had another car making this noise and it turned out to be from the panels under the steering wheel vibrating. I never thought it was coming from there but it was. That's why service is almost useless for these kind of noises. Too many possibilities. Good luck.

Thanks for the objective feedback. So many get caught up in the brand, as if one brand is immune to the laws of physics, mechanics, and just flat out weird shit happening. Sometimes the tires have issues that cause stuff too, especially when curbs and other objects are hit. Def good luck to all dealing with rattles.

So the day before they where supposed to come and pick my car up they texted me asking for me to call them. When I did they said they can’t come and get it, because they have no loaners and they’d have to rent me a car because they don’t know how long they’ll need it. So I made an appointment for next week.

In the meantime I decided to put tape over each doors reflectors, and damn if it didn’t stop the rattles! Finally peace and quiet! I think I’m going to cancel the appointment and fix it myself with a spot of glue on each reflector and be done with it.
