Wrench Symbol

I have a 2016 Lincoln MKX while driving it Saturday the wrench symbol came on vehicle drove ok, when I arrived home I put my OBD scanner on it and no codes came up green light on scanner indicated everything was normal, has this happened to anyopne else

Check your owner's manual (or online manual). look in the 'instrument cluster' section.

I believe it means there is a powertrain fault.

Check with your dealer as the powertrain should still be under warranty, as long as you have not exceeded the miles in 4 years.

I have a 2017 Lincoln MKX and I've experienced the wrench symbol coming on, but it doesn't stay on, comes on periodically while driving on highways. The dealership says if it doesn't stay on constantly that they cannot tell what is the matter with it? Does this make any sense to anyone? So, today the light came on and I immediately drove it to the dealer to show that the light was actively on, and that it came on while highway driving. They told me that it was an "electric code B-018-A. However, I cannot find anything online with that code, and dealership told me they can't get it in for service until 2 weeks, and that they'd need it for a couple of days to try and see if light would come back on.

I have a 2016 Lincoln MKX and last Thursday while driving the wrench and see manual warning came on and the car lost power and I had to coast to the side of the road. The engine on/off button just blinked once on the side of the road. Luckily, no other cars were right behind me or an accident would have happened with my son and I in the car.
The dealership has had it since I had it towed there a week ago and they say it’s acting normal and can’t figure out what happened. No codes came up for them. Did I mention they had it for a week about a week and half before this wrench issue happened.

I have absolutely no confidence in driving this vehicle and I have had nothing but issues with it every time it goes into this dealership. Something else seems to go wrong with it. Disappointed in this vehicle and dealership.

Before having it towed, did you attempt to start it again? You don't have to use that dealership if there are others around, including Ford dealers.

Lol just got back from a road trip with this exact same thing happen in a 2011. It’s my moms car and the wrenches have come on consistently on certain long drives but not consistently. This time however a red triangle light w/wrenches came on and we lost power. It only showed the two wrenches before. We pulled off the i10, waited a minute and smooth sailing after. But it was then flashing up every 20 min after that. I just kept pulling over to reset it. Maybe a computer problem?? The car runs fine.
