wiring diagram for 04 Lincoln Town Car turn signals

I see you have the attachment problem sorted out. P.S. Thinking about that, a link is not an attachment.

That video is quite spectacular in showing what you have done to your car to enhance its operation. I would not have thought an orange led would show an orange light through a red lens. The upper red lens also contains a flasher on my car is that disabled or the 2003 model is different? I like the front repeaters behind the front wheel, can that be done to the orange marker light below the white turning lamps?

You are quite the expert.

Hi Town - thanks
I've disable the turn signal on the upper red tail lights because its not legal to have red turn signal here in Sweden, except if you move from US to Sweden and bring your car with you, then its legal to have red turn signal (strange rule). Same with the flashers behind the front wheel - you must have that in Sweden.
Do you want the orange marker to stay on in normal and flash when turning? If you want it on and flashing, I would try to use a switch back led, but I guess that led #168 are not available in switch back. It was a nice idea:-) maybe I will do it on my Town Car - thanks for the idea.

Hi Lars,

I am not much for making changes. I think the front side marker flashing with the turn signals and still able to be powered by parking/headlamp circuits (for North American regulation requirements) would be a great safety feature when merging with traffic. I think it should be a standard safety feature. How could you do it on your car with the #168 LED switch back not being available?

Just curious.

Hey Guys,

Sorry for my slow response.

I have been running into a little more severe troubles with my town cars turn signals and have been traveling a lot for business recently…
Anyways, more severe problems: turning on the turn signals would make all lamps on the dash (abs/brake/...) come on and then turn of like when turning on the ignition and sometimes even make the speedometer go to 0 and then come back… But it only happened every now and then, I was unable to reproduce it.
Yesterday I found 3 defective wires on the trunk harness (right where it comes out from behind the rear seat on the drivers side): the red/blue (brake/turn left) wire was blank as well as a black and a white/pink wire. Fixed the wiring harness and have not been able to reproduce the problem since.
Anyone know what the white/pink wire is for?

I am currently working on the led-setup for the rear, I ordered new resistors but once the arrive I will not install my setup until I'm sure the other problem is solved.

@ Town:
In the front I have my orange side marker hooked up to be both, side marker and turn signal. I am suing a standard 168 bulb.
The way it's hooked up originally is ground and parking light +; for importing to Germany a side-turn signal was required (just like in sweden) so they hooked it up to ground and turn signal +.
I have the bulb hooked up to turn signal + and parking light + ; this way it will receive ground thru the turn signal circuit when the parking lights are on, ground thru the parking light circuit when just the turn signal is on, or no ground when both are on which makes it blink asynchronous to the turn signal in the front.

Regards,
Chris

as the title states im looking for a wiring diagram for my 04 Lincoln Town Car as i've gotten my load resistors ready to wire up so i can install my SMD led turn signal bulbs. i've tested and found the black wire is ground and the stripped is 12V, but what is the brown for? i can get the SMD to flash when i hit the signal switch but not stay on when not turning, and vise versa. so could that brown wire be a extra power or ground?
Hello. I know that this was posted in 2013, but I am actually having the same problem with my 2004. My passenger side headlight connector shorted out due to the previous owner jimmyrigging the wiring harness. I have rewired to the original colors with a new 7 pin pigtail, but forgot exactly which connection pin goes to what color. It's been driving me crazy trying to get the right sequence, and am in need of the actual wire to headlight pin to make sure I am doing it correctly. I know that the black is the middle ground, and bottom right is the brown, but I am lost with the G/Br, y/w, w/b, o/b, etc on with pin to plug them on. Can you or someone share that info because I am so lost reading the diagram charts?
