Do you long for the days of manual crank windows and other things we all became good at using? After many decades of driving, I've perfected holding my foot on the brake to keep the car from moving. Thus, I find it a useless feature.
That was perfectly petty. THANK YOU!! lol.Do you long for the days of manual crank windows and other things we all became good at using?
Just kidding. I get it, sort of.
I had to change from Haha to Like when you edited this lol. That was perfectly petty. THANK YOU!! lol.
Personally, I LOVE auto hold? Why? I can stop thinking about holding the break. What if the person in front of me slams their brakes? I ran into the back of someone once the auto hold was OFF because I got so used to it lol. However, it was MY fault. I never held the brake lol.
Seriously, I like being able to not worry about the brakes. Some lights are long. Plus, in stop and go traffic, its easy to get a little leg/ankle/foot fatigue.
Not to single you out but my personal opinion is that this is an example of how as a society we’re (I include myself in ‘we’) becoming used to not thinking. The “I can stop thinking” is the root cause of “I ran into someone” and the “I like being able to not worry about the brakes” ensures that it will happen again (by somebody, not necessarily you) since there’s not going to be any thinking involved. Why? … I like being able to not worry about the brakes….
Fair enough, but after many decades of driving almost exclusively manual transmission vehicles, prior to owning the Corsair, I find the auto-hold is refreshing, as it permits me to not feel as though the car is trying to fight me when stopped. Not necessarily a question of taking my foot *off* the brake, but not having to hold it with as much pressure, similar to a manual transmission vehicle (you can hold a car with a manual transmission still with only light pressure on the brake pedal). After many decades of driving, I've perfected holding my foot on the brake to keep the car from moving. ...
Me too!Love this feature. Incredibly useful.
I get it. I religiously put my car in park at lights. I've had 3-5 min lights that grind my gears.Fair enough, but after many decades of driving almost exclusively manual transmission vehicles, prior to owning the Corsair, I find the auto-hold is refreshing, as it permits me to not feel as though the car is trying to fight me when stopped. My Edge doesn't have auto-hold. I obviously adjusted easily enough, but I still *prefer* the auto-hold.
I dont feel singled out at all. I promise. Its my THIRD FoMoCo car with it. I just dont want to think about the stuff that I dont have to. lol.Not to single you out but my personal opinion is that this is an example of how as a society we’re (I include myself in ‘we’) becoming used to not thinking.
