WHEN WILL MY CORSAIR BE BUILT

Usually some dealers post vehicles as in transit meaning on order. They could include some ordered by customers. Understand that when you order, you have not signed any contract and the vehicle is not yours until it is legally signed over. So, that means the dealer can sell it to someone else even though you ordered it. I have heard of that happening for lots of reasons. My dealer does not do that but there are different actors out there that are out to make a buck anyway they can. I have cultivated my relationship with my dealer and know they really well as I have bought cars from them the past 30 years. They know me well and know that when I order, I buy. No games played on either side.
I believe that's why FoMoCo as a whole came up with the COVP ( Customer Order Verification Program) Thus why the dealer is required to submit your License and signed DORA to Ford/Lincoln. This is to ensure it goes to the customer that ordered it. With a few exceptions, that uncancelled order turned vehicle is to be sold to the person who ordered it or the dealer will face consequences such as fines, allocation of special vehicles or top selling vehicles.

Yes, agreed. My dealer told me that Ford implemented that right after I had placed my order. They had people ordering several cars at the same time.

My order for a GT, all packages, and all options except for the less comfortable larger wheels, was placed in January. Regular updates repeatedly extended the build week five times. Most recently, for this week.

But I haven't received an update for a month now, and the "Track My Vehicle" link hasn't worked in weeks.
I just got off the phone with the Lincoln concierge, who told me the car is in fact currently being built.

Good news for someone who'd like a loaded, bronze smoke GT in a month or two!

Because I'm in love with the Alfa Romeo Stelvio I bought last month in its stead. I wanted the Corsair because I liked it as an exclusive PHEV. But driving the ICE Alfa has been such a pleasure that mileage does not concern this retiree. I can't imagine being as happy with a Lincoln, especially comparing the owner complaints in this forum to those in the Stelvio forum. (Yes, I know all about the phenomenon of recording complaints vs praises, but the difference between the criticisms of these two cars is remarkable.) I'm back in another sports car, one that transports doggies and groceries!
Wow. Congrats on the Alfa suv. I know its a totally different animal and yes an elevated sports car. Big ups.

A recap of my own personal saga:
  • April 01 — I ordered my Corsair GT (base model).
  • April 04 — Lincoln emailed their standard acknowledgment.
  • April 25 - June 20 — I was in touch with the very friendly Lincoln Concierge (1-800-521-4140) who gave me updates to tell me they had no updates.
  • June 23 — I finally got my VIN and I was notified that my build week was
  • August 15 — then Lincoln moved my build week forward to
  • August 08 — then Lincoln told me it would be built Thursday
  • August 11 — and then today,
  • August 09 — Lincoln moved my build week back to
  • August 22 — **sigh**
Who knows what will happen next?

Well at least you know its going to be built this year and not pushed until next. :) One thing that is odd however, is you typically get build weeks, and they Commonly move them back as things change on their end.. once you get a day, that usually means its a hard schedule. Do you have a window sticker available yet?

Hey @timsvt

I thought the same as you did. I had a build day, and suddenly the build week moved back 2 weeks... and no, the window sticker is not available yet. I was only 2 days away from the build day — so I thought the window sticker would be available — but that's when the build week changed.

Oh well...

Strange. Although if no window sticker is available, it would make sense that the date was legitimately moved. The one GT Base I ordered 6/3 keeps shifting dates, as expected. Good luck and hope yours gets built sooner than later.
