What would you change or do different?

Two thumbs up to all the comments…
1. Heated steering wheel as a stand alone option not part of the $4,900.00 (cad) Elements Package…bought myself a new pair of warm gloves!
2. Engine cover…no excuse whatsoever, none!
3. Not sure which is worse, the “piano black finish” or the “stainless” steel appliances in the kitchen.
4. minimum 50 mile/80 km range
5. Power should be on par with the Lexus, Volvo etc. at least 300+
6. Allow me to configure a tachometer (just because)
NOT THE NEW PAIR of WARM GLOVES!! I love the imagery. Sorry English teacher here lol. I totally agree. I'd take a smaller gas tank of say 250 miles for an electric range of 100 mpg/charge range. (A few more HP in the atkinson PLEASE!!! The droning can be crazy if floored, but I dont, so its not a biggie. I'd cash in retirement to get one. I agree with everything else. I love my massaging seats, but cool the rear seats. ONE DAY, someone may sit back there consistently in the Atlanta summer sun.

Not drop the ‘22 exterior in the hopes the people think they’re buying a KIA, since that is what the ‘23 looks like. Grill envy is not luxury.

Agreed. The 2022 exterior looks great just the way it is. They did that with the MKX. One year the grille looked like an eagles beek lol

Well Kingdre, the above mess proves I should consume at least 3 cups of coffee before I tap a keyboard!

I do not like the 23 grill at all. Has no appeal to me or my buddy who just took delivery of a 22 carbon copy of my GT in December. We both like the smaller grill and we like the smaller entertainment screen of the 22. I would have preferred to have Sync 4 and wireless CarPlay but I got on Amazon a 3rd party device that works great to offer wireless CarPlay with no issues so far in a year of use. Other than that, I still adore the car after one year and would not trade for any other car out there today.

I would really like the bigger screen and Sync 4. Especially when using the back up camera.

Perhaps I will be happier with the smaller screen after I have my cataract surgery. I will find out tomorrow morning when that will be when they take the necessary measurements, etc.. :cautious:

I also do not like the '23 grill, and lack of fog lights.

I have a 2021 Corsair GT. Here is my wish list:

1. Better quality. I love to drive this vehicle but the persistent quality issues have made me question my choice. So far, the 12V battery failed after 3 months; the charging cord overheated and failed and nearly caused a fire in my garage; the taillight module failed and had to be replaced; and my biggest first world gripe is the memory on the driver seat doesn't work while using the easy enter/exit feature. I have had my vehicle in 4 times for the driver seat memory and it is going back for the fifth time next week. The dealer can't get any codes but the last time they changed the motor on the driver seat. It worked for one day and then stopped. The paint on this vehicle scratches and chips way too easily. So far, there have been 3 separate recalls in 15 months. It is sad to pay $60,000+ for a vehicle and have this many quality issues. Get your act together Lincoln! The interior and exterior styling are excellent. The numerous and persistent quality issues will make me question purchasing another Lincoln!

2. Fix the water pouring out of the liftgate and the side trim pieces after a car wash. Seriously! I have to use a 12V powered air compressor to blow out the water of these areas.

3. Bigger infotainment screen. I know this was addressed on the 2023.

4. The center console opens up from the front but with a compact vehicle it is difficult to open and not accidentally shut with your elbow while attempting to retrieve something. Perhaps have it pivot toward the passenger side.

5. More battery range and faster charging times. The current set up is hardware and software limited.

In reply to the drivers seat issue…I had the same thing. I changed the seat position sensor. They changed the seat control module. What finally fixed it for me and it’s been wonderful since….they replaced the seat rails. Fixed it for another person here also. Tell the tech multiple people have had the problem and the end fix was replacing the rails/tracks. The water coming out…that’s because the top back is hollow and collects water inside. I have through about drilling a weep hole in the bottom plastic. My sons MKC did it also. But if you’re fast to wash the top and not high pressure much don’t get in there. A car wash with their high pressure nozzles will fill it up more also

Btw. My issues have been all resolved and I can enjoy my vehicle working like it should have in the first place. It’s been quiet around here so I’m thinking a lot of people had their issues resolved. Me and a few others stay around to help others. Most come and complain then leave. The sad thing is every time I get in my car and the seat goes to the exact position it’s supposed to I’m amazed lol. To be happy for something so little but yet should have worked from the get go is kind of sad lol. Also since the wheel speed sensor has been replaced I’ve had no more issues with all systems going down. Again should have been ok from the beginning but things happen I guess

On the GT, a true "Pure EV" mode. Currently, it may be Pure EV depending on a lot of non-controllable factors. This might be deal-breaker on a future PHEV purchase. Anybody know if this is how it works on other brands?

Same on Chrysler Pacifica.

We have friends who own a Toyota Prius prime (25 miles battery range plug-in hybrid). They seem to get the whole 25 miles most of the time (a bit less in winter). I've driven with them a little - I was amazed to see the gas mileage indication was 225mpg - they obviously do most of their driving on battery. I also experienced accelerating to 70mph on the freeway without the ICE kicking in. It's not a very quiet car (road noise), but Toyota seems to have nailed the EV part of plug-in hybrid quite well based on my limited experience...

They tend to use the ICE when they need heat as it is overall more efficient than resistance heating.
They also use it to boost the HP when going up a steep incline or accelerating rapidly. The EV motor has much less HP than the ICE.
Of course each manufacture makes their own decisions.

Understand, Toyota/Lexus and Ford/Lincoln have traded patents related to hybrids and the Corsair GT has some parts based on the Lexus model. Likewise Toyota/Lexus uses some technology from Ford. It was compete/lawsuits or work together and share the parts each one developed/patented. Honda used to have a very different model which was not as efficient or popular. Last year they replaced their with a similar design as Toyota and Ford and it works much better according to folks I know who have had Hondas (hybrid models) for years.

I agree! I like the idea of Sync 4, but I'm also not liking Ford talking about cars repossessing themselves. I know other manufacturers probably have similar future tech.

1. Sorry for you. I havent had a SINGLE, major quality issue. I'm also very low maintenance. My definition of a good day is I woke up. I do see the camera starting to trip, but electronics can have their own mind.
2. I only get a hand car wash. Its $50 once a month. The auto wash place is $50 too, but auto car wash can hurt the paint job over time from what I hear.
3. I love the idea of a larger screen, but the current one is more than adequate.
4. I purposely use my elbow to close it lol. I love it.
5. I agree. If the e-range was 100 with a smaller gas tank (200-250 miles), I'd be WAY happy, even at the current SLOW fast-charge. However, I also understand trying to do that may change too many other things.

True, which is why I love the science behind it. I'll update my mileage for the first 30k miles with a separate thread.

To me, the EV supplies the majority of the torque and the ICE most of the HP. I do understand the 266* mileage. The ICE does 155ish. When in EV mode, its so much slower up a hill, but working together downhill, it feels like an Edge with its base model turbo 4cyc.

……I never thought about that ! You’re late on your payments and the car starts itself up and drives itself to the local dealer ! You brought out a point that hasn’t been talked about yet ! Maybe you should start a thread about that ! $50 for a car wash what are you in Dubai lol. An oil sheik mebe lol. I’m in New York which is expensive and a hand wash is like $20.
