What made you choose a Nautilus over an Aviator?

For me it was the three bears scenario.
Not too big, not too small. It is sized just right.
And the dashboard tech is the crowning touch.

Only reason I got the nautilus over the aviator was the fact that the aviator GT model was killed and the aviator was due tor a later refresh. My plan is still to get the refreshed aviator if they include a hybrid model. Looks like we wont see a redesign until at least 2030 though.

My decision was between a Corsair and Nautilus. I almost got a 2023 Nautilus or 24 Corsair but the FHEV engine was a key deciding factor - better fuel economy, more cargo room, and not significantly more.

We didn't need a third row. Saw the new Nautilus at the Auto Show, and wife fell in love with it immediately.

Garage space a factor also as well as the FHEV engine.

I did not need the 3rd row or a vehicle that large. The back seats in the Nautilus provide tons of leg room. I also wanted a hybrid vehicle and love the big 48 inch screen on the Nautilus.

When I was ordering my 23 BL I went with the Nautilus over the Aviator because the Nautilus had SYNC 4 (Aviator had SYNC 3), It was $20,000 cheaper for a Black Label, far more trunk space, I don't need a 3rd row (only have a single child), and the power to weight ratio after driving both, the Nautilus felt like it had more power. I also knew about the newly refreshed 24+ Nautilus coming and really don't like it, so I got what I feel like is the last good Nautilus. Classic Lincoln styling cues, V6TT engine, my 13" touch screen shows all the same information as the new Nautilus does, Im a big Apple guy, I cant stand Google anything and thats all SYNC 5 runs on is Google Android software, and thank god I missed the boat full of software glitches/bugs and empty promises (Rejuvenate). Plus I cant stand the Blue-cruise nanny cam that yells non stop to watch the road. And with my employee pricing (I'm a Service Advisor) I got mine special ordered for a steal since it was one of the last 23's to roll off the assembly line ahead of the new Nautilus.

I really loved the 2.7L but sync 4 had its share of issues. The software in the 24+ has problems but it works significantly better and displays more useful information. I really hate Google as well though and was very hesitant to go with a full Google platform but fortunately wireless carplay allows you to disable all google services and enjoy only what you need without hindering the system. The transmission and PTU in the 23s was its biggest weak point. The eCVT in the 24+ hybrid should be much more dependable.

Yeah but the towing capacity is way lower. And if you have the tow package in the 23 your Trans/
PTU has a cooler hooked into the coolant system to keep temperature issues at bay. SYNC 4 hasnt given me any bugs (not since the updates have basically fixed it completely anyway). CarPlay is nice, I use it as well. I just don't see much if any benefit of the door to door screen in the 24+ as it doesnt show any more information than mine does, and it will be alot more expensive to replace as well should it go out.

The ONLY feature I like about the newer models that I wish mine had is the rejuvenate and digital scent. But I can live without it obviously too.

I would never tow with mine. I have an F250 for that. The 8F57 trans is so problematic I wouldn’t trust it anyway. The panaramic screen is amazing. Everything is within your peripheral vision and much larger than if it was crammed in the center screen or cluster display. Turn by turn directions just below the windshield is a must have. I ran a modded version of sync 4 and it was a little better but still would occasionally drop audio or lag when selecting an option, causing multiple touches to rapidly open and close the option.
