What did you pay for your new Lincoln Nautilus?

You did not loose anything, you gained everything. I do not know why the jet package has the 22s , and sacrifices the ride quality. As we are all for the most part purchasing the Nautilus for comfort and ride quality.
I would love to have been able to get the nicer interior seats with the jet package , and not have to take the 22s. My dealer would not switch up, so went with the 202 package , and it 21s. Love the ride and comfort. Still more road noise than I would like, these Michelins are the low of the low end.
That is very true as I purchased this for the comfort. So a higher end tire would be less road noise you think?

Michelin makes 2 versions of the primacy tire that are on our car. Lincoln bought the less expensive of the 2 for our cars. The other version is much better in terms of ride and road noise , as per Tire rack. Continental and Pirelli both make tires to fit and are much quieter.

Thank you! That is very helpful.

I have 20 inch Pirelli MS tires and you cannot get them in the US so I wonder the choice was based what was available in China. The Pirelli's can be noisy on coarse surfaces but extremely quiet on smooth asphalt.

The sad news is there isn't much else available for the 21" in terms of options. There's a few others you can find outside TireRack, but nothing generally superior. I will hope for more tires than these by the time we need them.

Also, while the Primacy Tour is likely one of the better options right now, note that there are (at least) two versions, the 72491 and the 3842. The 3842 is an Acoustic version designed to be quieter than the standard tire. I believe it's used as a BMW OEM tire.

Finally getting our Nautilus 😀
  • '25 Premiere 2 hybrid
  • Lustrous Gray/black onyx
  • Jet package
  • Mini spare
The above came in 9% below MSRP with A plan.
  • DIO Rain deflectors (I missed not having them on our current RX).
With the lovely 8% NY sales tax, DMV (new plates), normal doc fee, ..., out the door was still lower than MSRP. Straight cash deal, no trade-in.

Probably pick it up middle of next week.

Congratulations. Here in NC, there is a lower sales tax on vehicles.

Hi Orion12. Not necessarily. It depends on what traits the “higher end” tire was designed and tuned to maximize. And sorry for the late response.

As just one example: If a “higher end” tire is designed for maximum performance, roadholding, grip etc., it may actually be louder average and desirable.

Generally speaking, tires designed for ride comfort will usually also have a quiet ride and lower road noise designed in as a desirable trait.

To help you find tires designed for a quieter, more comfortable ride, I would recommend you go to https://www.tirerack.com/ and utilize their “Tire Decision Guide”.

You can input the tire preferences/traits most important to you, and get a list of the tires that best fit those preferences.

I’m sure others will also jump in to help, so keep us updated and good luck.

Hi gang, Ooops! I just re-read my previous reply and noticed confusing wording in the second paragraph.

It should have been written something more like this: “As just one example: If a “higher end” tire is designed for maximum performance, roadholding, grip etc., it may actually be louder than average, and therefore not desirable for an owner preferring a quiet ride.”

Sorry and good luck. 🍻

Than you! That is very helpful.

Lincoln raided the price of the Nautilus Reserve by $2000. They increased the cost of the hybrid engine to $2500.

Ended up doing a Take 2 - switched to a Reserve 2 Hybrid since DW prefers the leather seats :)
  • Silver/Black Onyx - Allura Blue
  • FHEV
  • 21" Painted Brgt Mach Alum wheel upgrade
  • DIO TrailerTow Class 1
Built 1/25, window sticker dated 2/25.

Same as before, base Sale Price dropped to 9% below MSRP. Adding the misc dealer items (Doc fees, NY registration/plates, NY inspection,...) and rain deflectors, the bottom line still came in below MSRP.

Just ordered a new BM300 Pro for it (Aliexpress still coming in 45% below Amazon, shipping from the US, delivery expected in 1 week).

Picked it up today, left the hitch not installed (boxes of parts provided) - too much of a PITA to try to get that deleted with the A plan pricing, and otherwise it's exactly what we wanted. Waiting for the points to register to order Nautilus 2024-2025 All-Weather Floor Liner. Have to dig up a well-fitting all-weather cargo liner (I typically get that, then still add a large rubber mat for the pooches).
