My welcome lighting does not come on when approaching with key fob in pocket
None of the above turn on. Welcome lighting option is turned on in the settings menuThere are 2 types of lights that come on when you approach your vehicle. One is the headlight LED strip, the tail light and the door handle lights, these come on when you approach the vehicle.
The second one is the welcome mat light from the mirrors which only come on if the mirrors are folded.
Supposedly this faulty open circuit on the wire harness is also responsible for my driver seat settings not saving/randomly changing. I’ll update if this fixed the issue. The seat setting issue is mentioned a number of times on this forum and the bug doesn’t appear to be diagnosed yet. It’s a 2019 continental.Again I’ll go for the battery unless it’s a spanking new car, Check your batt voltage first thing in the morning, In fact, if you can, leave the car unlocked overnight with the hood popped, if the standing voltage is below 12.6 v then the battery is suspect.

sorry to hear that , I've been having the same problem , but fortunately just with my welcome lights , my 2017 conti with 15000 mi , I installed a new agm battery , same things going on , I've spoken to Lincoln customer relations and suggested to try a reset , go to sync setting to general and do a master reset , and was also told there's a memo stating the cd player can be the culprit . I'm soon to try the reset , if again no change , I'll be heading to dealer I guess .My 2017 Lincoln 3.0 MKZ performed flawlessly out of the dealer and for 5 1/2 years. Driven mostly in the summer, garaged over winters (Explorer being my winter car) with running 15min by Fob every couple weeks to keep battery and systems 'alive'. Welcome system was on from the first day and performed, like the rest of the systems, flawless. Drove from the dealer in Penn. cross country to Seattle, many trips up/down west coast after, again flawless.
Original 12v battery began to wear out, had it exchanged with new. Car died two days later. Took it back and replaced with another new. Died two days later, in both cases had to boost with lithium booster to get running. Took to local dealer, they worked on it for over 4 months and eventually said they replaced the console module as being a vampire drain. Went to start the car up, and it was dead. Obviously the dealer hadn't actually fixed anything, but I had made the decision after that long time take to another dealer (100 miles away) if after 4 months they hadn't actually fixed anything.
So now I'm letting the car 'sit' for several days to see if it will 'die', but I notice the 'welcome' system is now also intermittently working. It always worked without fail even when garaged for months before. The comment of 12.6v of battery charge as the level at which the cars system wont activate the welcome lighting system is a possibility and will be checked at my next go-around of testing. I wanted to replace the original ford battery with a die hard (that's all I've ever had in my explorer), but all the local dealers have only 'interstate' brand, and of course Sears is defunct and nearest parts store that has die hard is 50 miles.
But why now the welcome system is flacky is perhaps because the batt has been overstressed while going dead in my driveway and at the dealer for 4 months, I'll have to hook up a meter and watch it over a few days.
Why things went south when the batt system was replaced and then the dealer obviously couldn't figure it out fully after replacing the batt twice has me figuring the competency of the repair is suspect, especially when touching the car back up and its still dead, had to jump to drive it home. If the batt voltage is still being sucked down will have to decide to drive it for a die hard replacement and then if that doesn't cure it then into the next Lincoln dealer. Tons of fun.
