I said "Hey Google, make it cooler". and instead of lowering the temp in my car, it decided to lower the temp on my two Nest thermostats (in my house). Has anyone else had this happen? I know my Nest thermostats are linked to Google Home, but I never had any crossover while driving!

When you speak to the Google Assistant (soon to be upgraded to Gemini) in the car, you aren't speaking to a car-specific version of the Google Assistant in the case where Android Automotive is used. It's the same Google Assistant across the entire ecosystem. When you state the comment in the generic way you did, the Assistant is going to try to interpret what you meant. I don't think it's smart enough to consider the context of where you are initiating the command from. That is something that we likely won't get until Gemini AI replaces the Google Assistant.

Got it, lol. Between Google, Siri and Alexa, Gemini, and of course my wife...I think my best move would be to just keep my mouth shut.

This is the same way Alexa works. You can control home devices from your car and you can control the car from your home devices.

Exactly the advice my wife gives me.
