My Lincoln
2022 Lincoln Aviator Reserve
My 2022 Lincoln Aviator has been making a noise when I accelerate from stop. It’s a bang like of something was loose in my trunk and hitting the rear hatch. I have taking it several times and the first time they told me yes we know what it is and they supposedly changed the transmission. That did not fix the problem now they are just telling me it’s a normal sound. I am concerned it could be something with the suspension. It is very frustrating to be told you $60k car makes noise that sounds like $5k car. I’m about to get a lawyer but I am trying one more time. Anyone else experiencing something similar. I’ve been at it for 6 months. The noise feels like a bang like something is loose in my trunk but nothing was loose you really feel it in the second and third rows.

We have a 2022 Black Label Aviator. No sounds, including that one. It drives smooth and quiet. What you describe is NOT normal based on our experience. It is a luxury SUV, designed around and marketed as a quiet cabin and smooth driving vehicle. IF this were normal, it would not have lasted this long. Something is not right with it.

ANY chance something is loose in the spare tire compartment beneath the storage tray behind the 3rd seat floor hatch? I am sure you already checked, but that storage compartment pulls out and there is a spare tire and limited space in there. Maybe something clunking around in there?

Thank you I have checked nothing loose in there. I am doing a drive with the tech Thursday and I have asked to do the same drive with a new car from the lot. I want to show them it is not a normal noise. It’s very frustrating but I am concerned it’s something bad and then I get stuck with a big bill once warranty runs out. Luckily I purchased a extended bumper to bumper 100k

It ended up being several suspension parts including tie rods and shocks. Over $6k in work done to the car. Now it runs perfectly. Glad I purchased that bumper to bumper up to 100k warranty. It paid for itself
