My Lincoln
2025 Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring Hybrid
I recently bought the 2025 Lincoln Corsair Grand Touring. The Dealer offered a prepaid warranty extension up to 8 years/70,000 miles or 110,000 km. I find this expensive. Is it worth it? Any thoughts?

Thanks,

Tom

You didn't state the price offered but note a couple of things:
You can buy the extended warranty online for substantially less than list price.

Price is negotiable. I presented my dealer with that online price and though he wouldn't match that price he did come down enough that I went ahead and bought from the dealer.

More than 8 years, 70,000 miles is available (at least was in 2023). I'm not sure it's worth buying unless you can get more time and miles.

So at least if you can get the warranty discounted and 10 years/100,000 miles , I'd say yes, at least if you expect to keep it for 100,000 miles.

This is what the Dealer offered… I didn’t know that there was an online offer as well. Just a note this is in Canada and the rates are Canadian.

EDIT- Oooops…I missed your mention in the third post that you are located in Canada. Unfortunately, these Lincoln ESP sellers are not able to sell contracts for Canadian registered vehicles.
I’ll leave the information up, in case it may help others located in the US.

Hi Tom. As mentioned above, you can obtain the LincolnProtect ESP plan online, for far less than what virtually all Dealers will charge.

There are many existing threads concerning this topic. Or you can go to the following online sellers and call them. Or use their websites to work up your own price estimates. Just be sure to compare apples to apples concerning plan tiers, year/mileage coverage, deductibles, and optional coverages (LED Lighting, Keyfob, Extended Rental etc.)

Zeigler Automotive- Lincoln Protect ESP PremiumCARE

Granger- Ford Extended Warranty - Ford Protect

Flood- Ford Protect Sales - Geniune Ford ESP extended warranty

Those 3 generally have among the lowest pricing.

Feel free to ask any questions, keep us updated and good luck.

Ok thank you for your help and for the links, it’s much appreciated.

I know you said you were from Canada, but I'll just mention that in the US, some states (including California where I am at) cannot use the online places quoted above. Sometime in the last 10 years or so, Flood Ford was no longer selling these policies in California. If you go to their web site an try to purchase one, they say not available. I did purchase from them 2 cars ago in California and had no problems, but not anymore :(

I bought the prepaid maintenance pkg for my 2023 GT (in 2023) for 8 years 100,000 km from the Ford/Lincoln dealer bin Burlington,ON. Which covers all items that you list.
I think if your planning to keep the car the prepaid maintenance pkg is well worth it.
So

Cool thanks for your feedback.

In my past ownership experiences, the Ford and Lincoln pre-paid maintenance package offer a good value, especially when costs have gone up significantly for parts and labour. That being said, maintenance can be done at places other than dealerships (e.g. chain or independent shops) for less money, so there’s that angle, too. But you get some comfort that the maintenance being done here is at a Lincoln dealership.

It’s a bit crazy how things have spiked these days.
