Under-dash obstruction to pedal change.

Hello,

When moving my right foot from the gas pedal to the brake, it has started to get caught, to the point that it jeopardizes safe operation. Looking under the dashboard, I found a flexible piece of plastic, as if a cover for under-dash components. It was attached to something on my left, but sort of hung down on the right. My foot was catching on the front edge. Btw, I wear a standard size 12 shoe.

Anyone have an idea of how to mitigate this?

It would help if you put your vehicle(s) info ( Year, Make, Model ) and list any mods into your signature.
That way with each post you create the info is there for everyone and you won't get questions about what vehicle has the problem

Thank you for asking. I had responded earlier, however, do not see it on line. So, trying again: 2003 Lincoln Town Car Executive Series. No mods.

To add it to your signature line just click on your username and avatar located in the upper right hand corner of your screen.
You will see "Signature" in the box that opens, click that and you can then add your vehicle info. When finished click on "Save"

The with each post you create the vehicle info will appear at the bottom of each of your posts.

same issue, I just removed the plastic cover and moved the interior light mounted to it to a different location, no longer an issue
