touch screen black

Does anybody know how to take the trim off a 2019 continental to access the touch screen

Anyone? This just happened on my 2017 MKZ hybrid and dealer says no appt available until middle of April. Power and seek/forward doesn’t work either. Any solutions or any electrical specialist I can bring it into to get this fixed? Mad annoying with no radio and no rear view camera!!! Thanks for any help😫
Any luck with this? It's not working for my vehicle either.

It sounds like the APIM is gone. Idk which cars we are talking about here but….if I remember on a Corsair the first button to the right of the volume button is to turn the screen off. If you accidentally pressed it you will have to press it again to turn the screen back on. Now in desperation before going to the dealer you could try disconnecting the negative battery cable for a few minutes and reconnect it and see what happens. Also if you have a usb stick with sync on it you can try starting the car and putting it in and give it like a half hour and see if it loads. Otherwise bad screen or APIM. Let us know what fixes it or what the dealer does so it may help someone else. 😃

I’ve had this happen on my 2020 aviator also. Sitting with it parked, I could get nothing to work like turning it off and on again or getting out of the car and back in. But I called the dealer and he suggested a reboot of the APIM. That means hold down the radio ON button, while also holding down the SEEK FORWARD button. Hold them down for a little while and the thing will reboot and the display will come back. I’m assuming it’s the same on the Corsair. That instruction was also hidden in the owners manual under the diagnostics for a SYNC. I don’t know why this happens, but this at least is how to get out of it.

I COULD JUST HUG & KISS UR FACE RIGHT NOW!
THANK U, THANK U, THANK U!

lol. Yes the reboot often works. Make sure your vehicle has the current sync version. There was one 22251 that wreaked havoc on everyone and everything.

Did it on my 2017 MKZ… It worked!!! Thank you!!!!!
