Thoughts on extended warranty?

Their website says Ford has announced there will be a price increase April 4, 2024
What a great thread - and thanks for the heads up on the price increase! I wasn’t going to get extended warranty, but with all the tech in this car it sounds like a very wise thing to do. I’m glad I declined it though at the dealer when I bought my car, because when I compare their quote to those two online sites mentioned above, the dealer was charging $600 extra! Pretty big difference. And even more savings if I get the Lincoln Access Rewards Visa card.

I think I’ll also get the LED lights coverage as mentioned earlier in this thread … does that include replacing any burned out bulbs, or just electrical-type issues with the lights? Thanks.

Hi timmo. Yes, it covers burned out interior/exterior LED's and other defects.
Also, think about the optional "Key Coverage". It covers defective, damaged and lost keyfobs.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.

Hi gang. I need to add another good source for the LincolnProtect ESP Plans.

I have always recommend Ziegler Automotive Group and Flood Ford, because they’ve been the lowest in my experience.

That was…up until now. I helped my sister purchase a 2023 Corsair about two weeks ago.
And while helping her purchase a LincolnProtect plan online, we discovered that “Granger Ford” beat both Ziegler and Flood. And by a significant amount.

So I would now recommend those interested Google “Lincoln ESP plans”, then check “Zeigler Automotive”, “Flood Ford” and “Granger Ford”.

Hope this information helps and good luck.

Great - thanks for posting this. Glad I didn’t pull the trigger yet - plan to buy it tomorrow. You’re right - it’s even cheaper at Granger for my plan. Thanks very much!

Hi timmo. Out of curiosity, how much was your savings?

Good luck! 🍻

It was $50 cheaper than FloodFord. Here’s what I’m planning on getting: 10/100k/$50 = $2,575 + 50 + 70 + 120 = $2,815 ($2,865 at FloodFord, $3,115 at Zeigler)

**EDIT** - added Zeigler info above

Since I don’t have it yet, I’m going to apply and pay for it with the Lincoln Access Rewards Visa (20k points $100 statement credit with $3k spend which I will be very close to, 5% back in points, plus 0% interest free for 6 months). Also going to use up my FordPass points as part of the payment since I no longer drive a Ford. All around a great deal - thanks ya’ll!

I cancelled my $4k one with 36 or 48 payments for a plan through Ziegler. Still doesnt cover the EV battery. NONE of them do from what I can see.

DELETED - WRONG FORUM! Sorry!

I left my Lincoln protect cancel. Glad I was able to figure out the way to get installments. do NOT use the payinfull discount code. You lose the ability to do installments.
Take the discount and put it in your credit card if you cant pay in full with cash. Why give up the discount?

Correct. The ESP does not cover EV battery or cables. Standard warranty covers those for 8 years / 100,000 miles. I bought an 8 year ESP for my Corsair PHEV. I'll sell it at or before that point.
