The case for or against trading in 2022 for a 2023 Corsair

Well I guess your local dealer isn't very smart then. In my area you simply can't find a vehicle. Im surprised they didn't at least let you order one at msrp.

They DID, with a $1,000 NON refundable deposit. Right, The Corsair comes in, they undervalue my trade by thousands, and I loose the $1,000 deposit if I don't buy? No thanks! And I was talking about a $60,000+ GT!

This also makes no sense. One would think with all the long build times, they would be thrilled to get a GT for their lot if I didn't drive it home.

Something just isn't right at this dealer these days.

I haven't heard of it being non refundable by any dealer so that is new. I would recommend if you really like the cosair gt go to another dealer who isn't trying to screw you. I know for me I try to go back to my original dealer but if they aren't being corporative I go somewhere else.

I'm not advising one way or the other on whether to turn in a '22 to buy a '23. That's a personal, subjective decision.

But if you do decide to unload the '22, check with Vroom and Caravan. They offer much more than any other options. I recently sold a Jaguar '17 F Pace for many more thousands than Carmax or Autotrader offered, who seriously outbid dealers. I my case, Vroom beat Caravan by a couple of $k.

Thanks.

I'll look at the market when the 2023 model comes out and see how much I stand to lose.
