I just received another over-the-air update that I haven't seen reported here yet.

"This update enhances the vehicle's ability to maintain connectivity and location services. Telematic Control Unit Module. TCU-24.2.5.9"

Same, I just opened the app and got the notification.

Yep, got it tonight too. Noticed lagging navigation updates as I was driving earlier today. Fingerscrossed it was just in the process of updating this component.

We got ours last night.

It's interesting that F-150's we getting a TCU-24.2.5.9 update in February.
Lincoln owners are below Ford in the pecking order, from what I can tell. And being a Black Label owner means diddly squat.

Ford certainly seems to be well ahead in the deployment of BlueCruise.

I got the update yesterday. The only side-effect I had was my interior lights came on while driving, when I got the message on the display. I turned them off with the button on the overhead console.

I got the update, and now my touch screen is unresponsive. 2 drives since and I don't even see buttons on left side to navigate menus, but wouldn't make a difference if I did because tapping on them would do nothing.

I would reboot the system by pressing and holding the crystal volume knob for 10 seconds and then releasing it.

My update installed today.

Is there a screen I can get to that tells me what version of the Telematic Control Unit Module I have?

Maintaining my connection has been an off and on experience although I haven't invested any time in worrying about that. Also, my blue cruise seems to always work.

You can get the last OTA update details from the Lincoln Way App. On the app, go to Settings on the front page, Software Updates, then Release Notes. It appears to only show the last update and I don't know how long that stays available. My TCU update was April 18th and it is still available.

Thanks. Yup, it shows the update occured on April 12, 2025 and it is TCU-24.2.5.9

Regarding years or months of service I took these screen shots: (It appears that I have; 4 yrs Blue-Cruise; 1 year Premium Connectivity; and 3 years of Alexa.) My delivery date was 1-8-2025

Our 25 R2 just got it today. A "Priority Update", it pushed it to the vehicle off our nominal update window, while battery was at a low SOC.

I had been doing an unattended battery topoff (car running, 30 minute idle limit turned off), went out to check and saw SOC down at 42%, low battery voltage, car was in the off state.

The car opened and started fine, but it tells me Lincoln will really shovel something out when they feel like it 😀

Auto hold LED now seems to work properly (it didn't before), but best I can tell phone charging icon is still missing, so I'll ping Service to have the TSB-2283 work done (I really want that so they'll reflash APIM, which might take care of the Google navigation directions volume problem, where it doesn't stay at a changed volume level).1000095139.webp
Weird charging characteristic. It was at 43% when I had checked on it. I left it running/Ready for over an hour, it only made it back to 53% SOC, stayed at that level. Radio and lights were off, BMS simply wasn't delivering charging-level voltage for most of that time. Hopefully BMS will reset overnight, it'll top off next time I start the vehicle.

Or maybe (hopefully) they are being less strict on battery state of charge.

Hi,

It definitely helps with the stat/stop icon, auto-hold and phone charging, but no impact on ridiculously loud Google navigation volume. We all need to have dealers open tickets at the head office in the hope for a fix for this.

I did a soft restart (10 second) this morning, went out on a short trip for gas. The only new SW update I have is the TCU one.
  • Auto Hold fixed (previously noted)
  • Phone charging icon now shows, when it should
  • Google Prompt volume (loud navigation directions) now working okay - decrease or increase in volume is being used for follow-on directions (make sure you adjust the volume while a prompt is being given)
@Mooz80 - did you do a soft restart after getting TCU-24.2.5.9? Our '25 R2 was 100% consistent in not retaining the changed volume, it was still doing this just a few days ago, but now I see a "Prompt volume" slider open when I'm adjusting it, and a reduced (or increased) volume is "sticking", used going forward.

The dealer performed the update 2 weeks ago as I'm never receiving any update though the air (maybe because I'm in Canada, who knows...). I cannot tell the exact TCU number that was installed, but led lights and charging icon were fixed and I have the new clock and weather app available. Is there a way to know the exact version installed? I went to multples sub menus, but cannot find it.

What do you mean by "soft restart"? Holding the volume button for 10 seconds? Google is still not retaining the volume adjusted during prompts.

Thanks,

Thanks,
Soft restart:
-Turn the vehicle on
-Push down on the volume control crystal knob for 10 seconds, then release it
-Screens will blank out for a short time (infotainment computers are restarting)

Yes I tried that and not better, Google still yelling at me right now (I made a test while parked).
The new reboot procedure after the update is now to press the button 5 times in 7 seconds. Holding it is not working anymore after the update.
