Our sun roof sounds super squeaky. Do you think wd40 could safely be applied to tracks? My concern is the rubber gaskets.

Hi Tonja. Is your Nautilus still within the 4 year/50,000 mile Bumper to Bumper Warranty? It is certainly within the 4 year portion. If it is still under 50,000 miles, you should have it checked by your Dealers Service Department, in case there is an underlying issue causing the squeak. That is what our new car warranty is for.

I would not use WD-40. Your Owners Manual lists the preferred type of lubricant in the Maintenance and Specifications section. That would be the section of the manual that also lists the oil and other specifications.

Keep us updated and good luck.

Indeed. The tracks are engineered for zero lubricant. After the warranty is out, look into cleaning the tracks out and DRY LUBRICANTS.

There is also a calibration sequence that can be done on the sunshade and moving sunroof, but I do not know what the button combo is to initiate it.

Ours had the same problem although a 2012 model. We use our Suunroof alot. I vacuumed the tracks, used a dry lube. Good for awhile. Took to dealer. They removed the glass, super cleaned the tracks and installed new ski's on both sides of the glass. The ski's are plastic slides that are between the tracks and underside of the glass. In time they wear causing slow movement and other issues. Road particulates, insects etc.

Simple answer, call your dealer service manager for options. Good service manager will provide such advice.
