Sub Woofer Enclosuer

I have a 2001 Navigator I have replaced the factory Sub woofer 3 times now because I cant find a 8inch sub to match my amp , I want to go up to a 10 inch sub has anybody found it possible to use the factory enclosure or am I doomed to a custom cabinet or a over priced one from an online company ? ok thanks for reading

I Installed a 8" JL Audio 8W1V3-4 inside the factory sub box had to grind down the port a little bit lower for speaker to fit flat, install with JL Amp, but i think it worked fine with stock amp cant remember..
