Steering Gear for 2018 Navigator

Hi guys, I have a Lincoln Navigator 2018. It suddenly show electroic steering gear failure. Now dealer told me they have to order a new Steering Gear, but it’s on a backorder status with ford right now with no eta for any release. So I would like to ask how long it usually take for backorder status. Thanks!

Yeah, I'm not sure how anyone could know what it usually takes for something on back order.

Your back order time is likely the same as it has been for the left rear lift gate lamp assembly for my 2014. “Back order indefinitely/until further notice”. I seemed to have located the only right lift gate lamp assembly on the planet because since I ordered it, none of the dealers or parts houses show any stock either.
