Today was my appointment to get SSM53561 applied. Remember, this was/is the fix for
the paak ee/ee problem. I didn't get it done because my pairing a new phone to the car
has completely solved the problem. When the salesman and I set up the paak originally he made
me apply a password in order to open the phone. With the new phone, no password and all is
perfect.
It is my opinion that there is not a single person or department that has a real handle on the electrical/computer
systems on this car. Everyone you talk to has a different answer when you ask about a particular problem.
Just seems like there would be a comprehensive team working together to solve the many quirks we've experienced
on this great car.

Not just related to the auto industry. It seems executive are convinced that it's cheaper to fix problems than to invest in training. I believe it's because they can't/will not measure customer satisfaction. This is why they ask if the contact center agent was nice and polite. They never ask "are you satisfied with how the product is performing".

The problem only occurs if you link the phone with a profile. Your new phone probably isn't linked. The easy-entry/easy-exit only runs if a profile is activated, and so you're not seeing the problem, but you're also missing the other benefits of using a profile. Your choice on how you want to roll.

What benefits am I missing, swindler?

It's primarily for multiple drivers. If you have no driver profile, you're rubbing off a guest profile that has the current settings. A personalized driver profile could have different seat/wheel positions, radio/media settings, digital scent, A/C (although I didn't think that currently works), mirrors, etc.

You can have one of the driver profiles linked to a keyfob or PAAK, and then when triggered, the vehicle switches all those setting in for that profile. That's where the easy entry failed (but now has a fix). If you don't have the keyfob linked to a profile, it just continues with whatever was set.

When you got a new phone, you introduced a PAAK device that hasn't been linked to a driver profile, so you're avoiding the issue.

Before the fix, if I linked the fob to a seat position, the seat would move to driving position prior to getting into the seat. I now have it linked and works properly.

Clarification please. My fob is linked with the number 1 slot for the seat, and I have a profile for me (my fob probably). I recall my salesman connecting the door memory position number 1 and he did create a profile. Also, he set up a 4-digit PIN but I am uncertain now, just what that was for (what feature it was for; I know what a PIN is and what it is for).

My seat positions seem to work fine 1 for me, 2 for the DW, and 3 for the downturned mirrors. She does not use her fob and it is not programed for her or her seating position as best I recall.
The EE/EE does not work. Although, the steering wheel will move a microscopic amount sometimes but not all the time.
My normal seat position is Not all the way down and all the way back which I assume would be the EE/EE position.

Is there something I can do to make the EE/EE now or do I need the "fix" from the dealer?

If you remove the link to seat position from fob, the seat should move more as expected. If that works, you need the fix.

I've had the "fix" and have setup a profile, linked my profile to my FOB, and phone.

On shutting down, still the EE/EE does not go to the full seat back, nor the steering wheel to the full down and in position. The mobile tech who did the "fix" told me that the partial movements back for the seat and the steering wheel partially down and telescoping only partially in is "normal". ?
