I needed to install the rear wiper motor and was very unsure of how to remove the plastic housing. I couldn't find instructions anywhere but managed to figure it out (minor miracle).
Most of the housing just pulls off except near the handhold wells. There are 4 screws (2 on each side) that need to be removed. to access them, you have to remove the red plastic pieces to get to them. Take a credit card or something plastic and slide it under the top edge until it pulls back a LITTLE BIT. Don't try to completely remove it. The top edge is the one furthest from the interior when the gate is partly open. Once you have it started, tilt and slide it away from the interior and it will come out.
Once you have the screws out, the whole plastic house will just pull off.
I might update this with pics tomorrow. I hope this helps someone.
