the rear rotors on my 2021 hybrid Aviator are bad at 21,000 miles. Anyone else have this problem? Is this covered by warranty?

Hi JeanneY and welcome to the Lincoln forums. The short story: Unfortunately...No, wear items like brakes are not covered under warranty after the first ~1 year/18,000 miles, unless the issue is determined to have been caused by a defect in material or workmanship or the brake components, such as a defective/stuck brake caliper, rotors/pads etc. which are determined to be defective and so on.

However, it never hurts to ask your Lincoln Dealership Service Department and/or Lincoln Concierge if they can help.

Keep us updated and good luck.

How are they bad? are they scored? are they rusty? Are they warped? Are your brake pads worn to the point that they damaged your rotors? Who diagnosed the bad rotors? Can you post any pics of them?

Been a month, I guess we'll never know. Probably a troll post. How can you wear rear brakes on a PHEV that quick?

Just was told our 2022 navigator rear pads and rotors need to be replaced at 16000. Waiting for them to get back to me with measurements. We had no symptoms of issues but did notice pitting on the rear and none on the front

@16K and 21K seems awfully early. I have 35K on my ride and are nowhere close to needing new brakes or rotors. Seeing wear patterns like that seems to indicate a defect of some type. Unless the owners are standing on their brakes downhill! Yikes.

Welcome to the Forum. 👋
A few Explorer owners complained of early rear brake/rotor replacements as well. The issue was that the rear brakes were 'dragging'.
