Phone overheats on wireless pad - 2024 Navigator

I recently went on a 3 hour trip and my iPhone12 overheated about half way thru the trip. It was so hot that it shut down which then shut down my navigation from Waze. I tried my wife's phone and it did the same thing. I then took the case off my phone thinking that might be the issue but same result. Has anyone else run across this issue? The dealer gave me a 2025 Nav as a loaner while testing the problem and I can say that the new vehicle has given me no problem.

Back to your problem, when I had m8ne, it would overheat when the door was closed, but it would cool down with a/c amd door open.

Thanks for the reply, I'll try that on the next trip although it would be nice to have the door closed.

There are certainly pros and cons on the new one in my opinion. I feel the '25 just has too many gadgets. Not sure I'm crazy about the wrap around dash display (distracting) and I think I like the one piece tailgate in the '24. Most things are electronic on the '25, even the direction on the A/C vents which I think goes too far. When you turn on the directional it displays a camera showing what's on that side....again might be too distraxcting for me. On the other side, I feel like it may be quieter, stereo system is nice, the airplane steering wheel takes a little getting used to but king of like it. I like the exterior styling in both but the '25 might get a slight edge.
