Phone As A Key issue

I got this email today from Lincoln.

Actually I just figured it out. I wiped my cache partition on my Android 14 galaxy s24. This worked! Got an update yesterday that affected this. By rebooting while holding the up key on the phone and then wiping the cache it is back to working!

Unfortunately it stopped working again after I shut off the car

I only use the app to lock remotely or check to see if there are any software messages or if it goes to sleep.

Hi Just installed the new January 2025 samsung galaxy s23 software update (Android 14). Phone as a key is working again! A lincoln app update came for android a few days ago. That did not fix the issue. The new security update from Samsung seems to have fixed it. Will keep my fingers crossed and report any malfunction.

Bought a new Samsung Galaxy S24 Plus, attempted to set up the "Phone As A Key" feature and received a message saying limited service and that my phone does not fully support the "Phone As A Key" feature. Contacted the Lincoln Concierge support we tried several things to no avail. My previous phone (Galaxy S22 Plus) worked fine and my wife's phone (Galaxy S22 Ultra) has no issues with the "Phone As A Key" feature. Has anyone else had this issue connecting a newer phone?

Hi gman62. It is not uncommon for new phone and Droid/iOS releases to have some initial incompatibility issues. They are usually straightened out with updates from the phone manufacturer, and sometimes the vehicle manufacturer, as time goes on.

I’m sure others will jump in with more precise information, so keep us updated and good luck.

It can also stop working on the backside if you have an older phone. with an old OS.

Yes. I had it connected and working to my S24 Ultra. However, when I'm walking around near or in the garage, I don't usually carry the key fob, but always carry my phone. It was constantly activating the vehicle and putting messages on my phone that were annoying me (can't remember what they were now). So I disconnected it.

I am unable to connect to my s24 ultra. it throws an error "Pairing failed"

I have a Galaxy S24 FE. Phone as a key works without any problems, but the phone uses a Samsung processor which is different from other S24 models.

Had a 23 Ultra and now fold7. No issues with paak. Works great.

My s23 ultra worked great!! only the s24 ultra is having problem. in fact I am not seeing the bluetooth profile with our VIN number.

Except that my S24 Ultra works just fine.

I recently got an s24 ultra and when I try to set up on my Aviator. it just says "Pairing failed". Did you use any specific settings.
