Noise in dash

After driving my 2007 Lincoln town car with the A/C or heat going when I shut off the vehicle for a little while after I hear a noise in my dash.

Might be normal depending on the noise.
Mine often makes a tick tick tick sound for 30 seconds or so after I shut it off.
It's one of the HVAC actuators.

It almost sounds like boiling water. It is not a ticking noise I know what those sound like but it does it for about 30 seconds or so after I shut the vehicle off with the HVAC system running

It's normal. Mine does it to. Just get out, shut the door and leave it alone.

That sound (percolating sound) bugs some people and some say it is from air trapped in the coolant. Others say it is an A/C issue. Mine has done it since I bought it 100K miles ago. A professional coolant flush, and a total A/C replacement did not make it go away. Car never overheats and the A/C works right, so it doesn't bother me. I do occasionally hear it while the car is running as well.

I have this symptom as well. Sounds like dripping water in the dash. No idea what it is, but hoping it's nothing that requires dash removal.

I would try blowing shop air into hvac drain and seeing if water flows out. Sounds like stopped up drain and water getting blower motor
