Just in case my friend made a mistake in the attach/upload procedure, I sent him these instructions:
Here is the procedure to attach and upload document(s):
1. Click on the “go advanced” box in the bottom right of screen where you are looking at a post that you want to reply to;
2. Scroll down the screen looking for “Manage attachments” box and click that box;
3. A dialogue box appears in the top left of screen, click on the green + that says “Add Files”;
4. Another dialogue box opens with a box at the bottom saying “select files”, click that box to take you to your computer and its file organization;
5. Select the library and then the file(s) you want to attach, if one file then just click on it to select it and click the “OPEN” box in the bottom right of dialogue box, if more than one file is required then press and hold Ctrl (on your keyboard) and select up to 5 files and then release the Ctrl button and click the “OPEN” box as for a single file;
6. The dialogue box with your file(s) will be open and you click the “upload” box in the middle of the bottom row of 3 possible actions ( select files, upload files, clear list);
7. The original dialogue box will open with the file(s) listed at the bottom, so go to the right and click “Done” that will remove the dialogue box and you will see the uploaded files just below the “Manage Attachments” box;
8. Now on the right of the screen at the top you will see the Submit and Preview buttons, click “Preview”;
9. Now you see your post in preview with the file(s) shown in a box, where pictures (jpeg, jpg, etc) are separated from other file types with a small image, so you can decide to submit your post or scroll down to the input screen and add or change your post;
10. When you are satisfied you submit your post.
