MY2023 Aviator Order Timeline Tracking thread

We were built on 8/1 and still not shipped. Suppose to be this week , but not holding our breath

Holding our breath here as well. Still no actual proof as to the stage we are in... Dealer said it was to be built last week... Told them I wanted to see my window sticker and to forward to my email the info they had (on the 5th),for some confirmation... Still waiting. Called the dealership today and had to leave a message, didn't hear back.
They are really slacking in the info/service dept right now.... Which is frustrating, especially for my wife who was really looking forward to the "luxury" service they promised to provide... Where her current "heep" dealership has failed. So it already feels like we are back in the hands of Fiat Chrysler...

Well my salesperson confused me today so I called the concierge. My Aviator is produced but will not move to built state until they get a delivery date. Said they are having a hard time getting delivery trucks. My bend date was 7/28.

Mine was built 7/29 and was supposed to arrive at the dealer between Aug 16-22. It has not been shipped yet

Yeah, odd how you can order a $10 pizza and you can follow the tracking every step of the way. Order a $75,000 vehicle and nobody can tell me a damn thing.

If it's in BUILT status doesnt that means it's complete and ready to be shipped? I thought the vehicles on chip hold still showed a status of IN PRODUCTION. Anyone know?

I called the concierge yesterday they advised that my aviator is produced ( she said that means it is finished) but will not change to built until they have a shipping date. Lincoln is having a difficult time getting trucks to deliver.
On the tracking system for me it still shows in production.

Hi All, I ordered my Aviator Reserve from the dealer on 7/26 and received my order confirmation from Lincoln on 7/27. I have received no further updates. How soon can I expect to receive my production date confirmation? And how confident are we that the actual 8 to 12 week lead time is accurate to receive our orders?

In my opinion, it makes no sense that they can't change the status to Built regardless of whether they have a shipping date or not. Perhaps they should have a status of 'Awaiting shipping'. This isn't the first time I've read about the unavailability of trucks. BTW, not knowing where you are, the vast majority of vehicles are loaded onto train cars and only onto trucks for their final delivery.

Welcome to the Forum.
I don't know if it is actually so but compared to the 2022 models, the 2023 production seems to be a little faster. I would have thought that you would have received more information by now. As for the accuracy of the lead time to receive your Aviator, it is really difficult to say. There are quite a few variables involved in that area.

I am close to Louisville Kentucky. My window sticker does say Convoy on it.

It will say Convoy on all window stickers I believe. It doesn't necessarily mean 'truck' like in the old song "Convoy". Mine have all come by train and the window stickers said 'Convoy'.

No such thing as "build" anywhere in ford vehicle visibility. When the vehicle is rolling out the door, the status changes to "produced", even though it continues to stay "in production mode" till either it gets the chip it's waiting for, or it's ready for shipment and then changes from produced to "released". At this time the "in production mode" changes to "awaiting shipment. At that point the shipper, rail/convoy has it on their ramp and is scheduling schipment.

Wish my estimated shipping date was accurate. Today was the last “estimated” date. Also stinks that the dealership I’m purchasing from is only an hour and a half from the plant. So the wait continues…

Called the concierge today and was able to get some good information! She was able to give a alink to the tracking website and my vin number. In production 8/15 looks like the blend date is 8/23.
