My Lincoln
2024/Nautilus
Hello everyone,
Recently, I acquired a Lincoln Nautilus outside of the USA. The digital interface offers only a limited number of settings. Unfortunately, I'm unable to activate it through The Lincoln Way app, and reaching out to Lincoln USA has proven challenging without an account number.
Upon resetting the Digital Experience to factory settings, I notice momentarily the presence of icons for hotspot, SiriusXM, and Rejuvenate. However, they quickly disappear, leaving only a handful of settings and seemingly useless features.

How can I update to the version that influenced my purchasing decision? Every review I've watched on YouTube showcases a different version than the one installed in my car.

I disregarded the engine or power aspects and based my purchase decision solely on the car's technology features, but unfortunately, I didn't receive them as expected.

Thanks

Update: After doing some research, I discovered this webpage(connectedlincoln). From what I gathered, my country isn't listed as supported. However, I'm confident that the car has the necessary hardware and modem installed. There must be a w ay to activate the features.

These things are often market-dependent and if you're trying to connect a non-US Lincoln VIN to Lincoln's US app, you'll almost certainly be unsuccessful.

What country are you in?

Saudi Arabia.
So, I checked out the website, and it says if your car's got a modem serial number in the settings, then it's got the hardware. Mine has the serial number for the modem and Wi-Fi, but they seem to be disabled.

I'm just hanging tight, hoping the developer community can come up with ways to switch 'em on. I mean, it's Android-based, so there's gotta be a hack or something to get the Wi-Fi and Google services working.

Unlock the developer options and try poking around. You might find something that jumps right out at you.
Go to about, and tap the version repeatedly. It will give you a count down until options are unlocked.

I've already tried that, but there is no on and off switch to activate the Wi-Fi. What really ticks me off is that I've got the phone as a key options, but it won't work unless the Wi-Fi is up and running.

So the dealer was unable to activate the Nautilus? Or did you import the vehicle from another country?

Sounds like they have a US spec Nautilus in Saudi Arabia. Not much any dealer will be able to do.

The Wi-Fi hotspot that the Nautilus offers is a conduit to the mobile network. The US Nautilus is provisioned to operate on the US AT&T mobile network. The Nautilus can also connect to a Wi-Fi access point to obtain software downloads, but without a network presence, I don't know that it can serve as a network provider.

As far as activating the vehicle and PAAK, I thought that all worked via Bluetooth.

Maybe I'm confused 🫤

The dealer most likely has no idea the app even exists.
Someone else from Dubai was having the same issue. His issue was Dubai has a law against vehicle tracking which the Lincoln Way app does. There could be laws in Saudi Arabia that dictate what features are enabled on your vehicle.

They are on this forum. Look in the Nautilus/MKX thread. I don’t recall their user name.

If your car was sold to you in KSA, it's very unlikely that Lincoln will allow your VIN to be paired with their app. I'm sure that you know as well as anyone that there's very strict data laws in that part of the world and companies like Lincoln won't participate in those laws being broken.

Ford cars here connect to fordpass app in KSA, no mention to laws. I think its a lincoln issue they want to charge for connectivity. Ford cars are less luxurious and have far more features in this part of the world

Linconer,

Hello, Phone As a Key does not need nor does it work over WiFi. It uses Bluetooth. I hope this helps.

For it to work, you need to activate through the app. In my app when I tap on vehicle it says”This vehicle does not have connectivity. If you have a connected vehicle, you can see its status here.”

Hi,

I’m the one in Dubai😊

I got the app on my phone, but when entering the car to sync, nothing happens as the car doesn’t have Lincoln way.

On another hand, I have to possibility to connect to wifi. As I leave in an apartment it’s tricky, but will try at a friends house soon.

When i get in the car I’ll check if I have a modem serial number.

The explanation of the dealer was that as the app can track, it is banned. Which is not true as Jaguar (same dealer - Al Tayer) or BMW propose such app and its working fine.

Fordpass being unavailable as well, the best explanation is that they didn’t get the licence or coverage for GCC / Middle East.

Linconer,

When I activated Phone As a Key, I had neither WiFi or AT&T Hotspot activated. Just Bluetooth.
