I have seen a lot of videos on Chinese sites. the engine compartment is one in the same American. Ford always installs the best equipment for the Chinese market. The Chinese aviator is equipped with an engine cover and a large screen with a new multimedia system. There must be a reason why this cover is not offered in North America. although I have no idea why. It would likely also have to be fastened to the engine in some manner and perhaps that is not available on our Aviator. It would be helpful information if you added the year and model to a Signature so members can see what you have. I searched parts sites for a 2020 Reserve and had no luck finding that item.

When I took delivery of my 2022 Aviator Reserve, I opened the hood to inspect everything before leaving the dealership. The dealer's sales manager was standing next to me when I asked, "No more engine covers?" The sales manager told me Lincoln has discontinued installing engine covers because they had too many warranty claims resulting from mice nesting under engine covers, then chewing and damaging under-hood wiring. Seemed like a reasonable explanation to me.There must be a reason why this cover is not offered in North America. although I have no idea why. Judging by the logic of Ford, more tolerant mice live in China, which do not spoil the wiring of Chinese aviators. When I took delivery of my 2022 Aviator Reserve, I opened the hood to inspect everything before leaving the dealership. There are few such posts about mice destroying wiring in the 5th gen Explorer forum. When I took delivery of my 2022 Aviator Reserve, I opened the hood to inspect everything before leaving the dealership. There is likely a lower chance of them building a nest without the cover there so less chance the mice will even stick around.and if you remove the engine cover, the soy will no longer like the mice?
Welcome to the Forum.Hello all, I am new to this forum and to being a Lincoln owner. I am going to pickup my car today from the dealer for repairing wiring due to rodent destruction. I have had the car only a couple weeks and never had an issue with either if the other cars kept in same garage. They say not covered under warranty and is going to cost about $1000. I am gathering information about others so I can look into a class action or resolution by Lincoln. Please let me know if I can use your info and if you know others ? Thanks in advance
USAA’s Comprehensive portion of insurance covers this damage (subject to your deductible). Don’t know about other companies.Hello all, I am new to this forum and to being a Lincoln owner. Couldn't agree more. I had this happen to a Nissan Frontier I owned years ago that I parked in my driveway and drove maybe once a week. Something (mice, cats, squirrels) loved the soy based wires and lines. Basically disabled the truck. Had to be towed to dealer for extensive repairs to wiring and fuel line. I didn't even think to file a claim. At the time, I did the old Google and didn't come up with much. Basically it just said, you are bound to have this issue if you don't drive frequently and live in an area with lots of wildlife. Or, if you have a rodent problem in your garage if you park indoors.Pretty much any insurance is going to cover it, minus one’s deductible. A someone common’ish issue for many vehicles. Had it happen years ago to a Chevy Conversion van we had sitting and for sale. Did thousands of dollars in damage. Not sure why anyone would consider something like that as a possible warranty item or class action item. That’s bound to go no where.
