MKT radio locks and thumping/clopping sound from rear speaker

It's enough to drive you nuts!!! Driving along then radio locks w/ no station, LOUD thumping/clopping starts in rear speaker. Can last 1 minute or 30 minutes. Even if car is off the thumping/clopping still goes on! HELP!!!!!

Welcome to the forum.

You don't state what year MKt you have, but will hope you're still in warranty. You should make a dealer visit to address the problem.
I'm thinking loose speaker wire somewhere.

I would bet this is your problem and you need a software update:
