Missing underside parts

I'm curious if those missing parts are only related to the Reserve. I was the one who started the other thread. Mine is a Standard with the 2.0
@JEEPGRADY Does yours have the towing package? The very limited sampling we did at the dealer pointed to the absence of those parts on just the vehicles configured with the towing package...BUT it was a very, very limited sampling and as we all know, statistics lie without proper data.

I dont think it cheapens the brand OR the luxury status. Many competitors do the same.

No, I don't have the towing package. But, my standard doesn't have the missing parts you show in your pictures.

Okay. It sure seems it is hit and miss on Lincoln's side regarding including or not including these parts.

It is too bad because having a vehicle of that caliber drive off the lot with floppy rear fenders is disappointing.

My exposed bolt holes are only on the passenger side on my 2022 2.0L Standard AWD model. Confirming we are talking about the bolt holes in the body panel not in the felt wheel well liner. I went to the Ford Parts on-line catalog and entered the part numbers Sharbotcom provided from his dealer’s work order. Accordingly those parts do not fit the 2022 Corsair models but are listed to fit the 2020 and 2021 models. I must assume that Ford discontinued adding those parts to the 2022 models as not necessary and cost savings? Similar to the Engine Appearance Cover which is no longer on the 2022 models or listed as a part for 2022 models. It is available and a listed part for the 2020 and 2021 models.
I checked on Fords site for my 22 Standard. The parts he listed are there. I provided my Vin and the site said the parts are for my vehicle.

When my dealer looked up my VIN, they said the parts were supposed to be included. So they ordered them and installed them. Why Lincoln is dropping them on some assemblies is beyond me.

Just look under the car directly behind the rear passenger wheel well. If there are some open bolt holes on the underside of the fender and on the lower back lip of the liner, the parts are missing.
Will I be able to inspect by bending over or getting on my knees, or will I have to lie on my back to see if there is a problem?

I simply used my phone in selfie mode, so I just held the phone under the fender and looked at the screen. You may need to lean on your knees. Also, try shaking the fender as I did in the video.

Just crawled underneath to take more pictures of my Base model. As you show in your pictures, the passenger side has the silver heat shield. That is obviously there for a specific reason. Not having it installed could end up being a safety issue from the exhaust heat.
I will be going to my dealer probably tomorrow to show them.

Just as a comparison, this is what my Standard looks like. First picture is driver's side. Second is passenger.
That’s exactly what my 22 Standard looks like as well.

Went to the dealer today. Told them about the missing parts. He said there could have been a running change to what parts are used from year to year, mentioning the missing engine cover as an example. I told him that fiasco caused me $150. to install the engine cover on my own. I said that while the engine cover deletion is really just for aesthetics, the missing wheelwell/fender parts are more related to a structure deficiency.

Anyway, I showed him the pictures of what my fender wells looked like and showed him the pictures that Sharbotcom, the OP provided with the added parts. He went to the parts department and came back stating there were no parts showing in the system. Alas, once again, I pulled out the screenshot of the part numbers again provided by the OP. He went back to the parts department and came back saying that the parts are now ordered and he will contact me when they come in. I will update when the parts are installed.

A big shoutout to Sharbotcom for all the information he provided.

Let the lineups at the service counters begin...:)

Now I'm going to add some confusion to the discussion. Being retired, I have a lot of time on my hands. I looked up the parts online for the missing components. Part # LJ7Z5811778A, is listed as the right rear deflector with a price of $78.19. The picture of the part resembles what I'm missing. Part LJ7Z7811779A shows $382.21 with no picture available. I said something is wrong here. How could similar parts have such a large price spread?
I looked further and found part # LJ7Z5811779A which is listed as the left rear air deflector with a similar picture and price as the right. Notice there is only one digit discrepancy with the $382.21 part listed above. This part on various sites states that the part has been discontinued.
Did the OP's dealer find the discontinued part and just typed in the wrong number on the work order, or was he missing the more expensive part. We don't know as since it was warranty work, there is no price of the parts listed. My vehicle is just missing the two deflectors behind the wheels that the OP highlights in his pictures.
I guess I'll just await to see what my dealer comes up with.

I found the same discrepancies and the parts website I used stated they did not fit the 2022, only fit 20 & 21. Thus I figured they discontinued using the parts as not necessary. Please let me know what they come up with when the parts come in And I’ll take a ride to my dealer as well.
Just a fyi, I looked under my Mercury Mountaineer AWD Luxury Premier and it is similarly open behind the rear inner wheel wells. So I don’t know if those extra panels serve any purpose? Or could they be regionally added for some reason?

Without them the rear quarter panel is floppy, especially when ice builds up on the liner.
