Missing engine covers

My 2022 Aviator reserve did not arrive with the left and right covers/deflectors. Went to dealer last week. They said the covers should have come with the Aviator and they ordered them. Installed today for no material or labor cost to me.

Actually, they don't come with the 2022 Aviator. They were deleted I believe beginning with the 2021 models. See post #58 above. I checked out a Lincoln dealer's for sale Aviators online and none of them had the covers.

Well when I received my car it didn't have the the side covers and when I asked about them the dealer just said that they don't provide them anymore. He took me out and showed several other 2022 Aviators that had also arrived with my car without the covers. I went to the parts dept and ordered the two missing parts and when I arrived home called The Concierge and complained about the situation. She asked me to send her a copy of the invoices that show I payed for them and said she would get back to me. Several days later she called back and said after having further discussions with supervisor that they have decided to reimburse me the cost. Lincoln not the dealership.
Having the covers for over a week, I can honestly say that I haven't noticed any difference. It looks better, but other than that I can't tell that I've added them...oh well...since it didn't cost me anything, I'm glad I did it...And The Beat Goes On...

Good info SOB. I was thinking of buying the side covers. I haven't had any issues with hood movement or fluttering on my ride. I can see how it would make a difference cosmetically. But for something underneath the hood, I am not too inclined to spend money on it at the moment. Not a must have. I also didn't buy new, so the cost to procure would land all on me.
