Hi,
A local dealer has a 2012 MKZ just off lease. It is black/black, and has 32300 miles. The Carfax report says no accidents and no trips to the dealer for warranty work. The interior is perfect, the exterior has one place on the rear passenger's quarter panel that looks like a shopping cart scrape in the clear coat but no dent. It has 4 new Goodyear performance tires, too.
I'm 48, and owned many cars, most of which have been Fords. My last vehicle was a 2003 Expedition Eddie Bauer RWD with 177500 miles and no issues other than regular maintenance and I do most of it myself.
The dealer is asking $16300 for this MKZ and offers a 10 year/100k limited powertrain warranty. I wanted to know if there are any special things to look for. We stopped to look at it yesterday and the battery was so dead, the dome light wouldn't even light up. It has been sitting on their lot since 9/1/2015. I would say that it hasn't been run enough to keep the battery charged. They are supposed to test the battery this morning, but it makes me a little leery.
Any suggestions for things to look for would be appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
