My Lincoln
2019 Lincoln Nautilus
Hello everyone. Last week i bought a Lincoln Nautilus on 42 k miles. When i opened the hood, i see Some sponges on engine and also the cover of the engine starts the melting. Is anyone knows the issue? Thanks

Did you open the hood and check things out before you bought it? Did you buy it from a Lincoln dealership?
I don't know why that material would be where it is but I would have brought it up with the dealer and asked why it is there. As for the engine cover, a search shows it is made of Polyurethane foam. This material is heat resistant and should not melt due to engine temperatures.

Thank you. I bought it from carmax. Has anyone experienced the same situation?
It's a very soft piece. And yes, it shouldn't melt.
