Lincoln Continental Driver door not opening from outside and inside.

The U3000 code for Ford vehicles indicates a control module failure or erratic behavior within the vehicle's electronic control system. This code typically points to issues with the communication between various control modules in the vehicle, such as the engine control module (ECM), transmission control module (TCM), or body control module (BCM). When this code is triggered, it can lead to a range of performance issues and malfunctions within the vehicle's systems.
  1. Faulty control module(s)
  2. Wiring or connection issues between control modules
  3. Software glitches or programming errors
  4. Electrical system malfunctions
  5. Water or moisture intrusion into control module(s)
In my experience the module is not bad. The exception to that is water intrusion. Which is normally visible when looking at the module.
Because the module in my Navigator is mounted in the engine compartment, I waxed it and treat the wire harness that goes to the module.

More typical is debris in the connector or wire harness chafing to the module. Or a bad ground or blown fuse.

As the previous replier said. Body Control module failure. In my case specially the door latches, when I got them replaced under the open recall it also fixed the fault code.
