My Lincoln
2018 Continential
Although I truly believe the metric system is better, I would prefer if the car would keep the settings alone. About 80% of the time you must change the information and layout on the dash to show miles vs. kilometers, Fahrenheit vs. Celsius and selection for gauge display. We purchased the 2018 Continental three years ago, now right at 60K miles, or as the car prefers, 96,500 kilometers. There is no pattern. some times it must be changed three times a day and at best will make it three days in a row.

Cheers,

Tim

I thought dealers have a way of locking it to whatever you want?

Just some useless info - Metric is not better. Imperial is more accurate than Metric. There's many ways metric cannot add up to 1.

1/3 = .333 inf
2/3 = .666 inf
------ --------
1 .999 inf.

Weather forecasters use only whole numbers, therefore F is more accurate than C. Many other temps this happens too.

51F = 11C,
52F = 11C.

Part of my world is teaching specialty coatings around the world. I would like this country to switch to match ... some of ... the rest of the world. I like the base ten system. we use it daily with our money! Change is hard. I would assume a software update would solve the issue as well. no dice. Thank you for the response.

Actually we can set our temperatures on our vehicles to half Cs, for example 22.5C which is more accurate. And what is 1/3 of a gallon? .333 gal. So I don't see your logic. Sorry.

I live in Texas, but I’ve driven both of my Lincoln’s in Canada. It’s nice to be able to change from imperial to metric and back again in the settings.
