My Lincoln
2020 Lincoln Corsair
Hello everyone. First timer here. I just purchased a CPO 2020 Corsair, and when I go into the HUD, and update the brightness and position, after a day or 2 of not driving the vehicle, I have to adjust the brightness again. The settings do not 'stick', and I have to continue to adjust. I like this feature, so I want it dim and somewhat out of my way. I wanted to share this here because I did not see anything in the online owners manual about this setting resetting after so many drives.

Any feedback is appreciated.

Make sure you have the latest Sync version as it is all intertwined. Is it just the brightness or does the position change also?

I still have to figure out the Sync too. The position also does not 'stick'. I am also noticing that my RPMs, when the vehicle is started, is elevated. When I start the vehicle, the digital line is right below the 1 under RPMs. Not sure if that is normal either.

Hi VV and welcome to the Lincoln Forums. Regarding the rpms (blind Internet diagnosis): Slightly elevated rpm at startup (even in warm weather) is normal. Do they begin to drop down after a few to 10 seconds or so? If yes, then everything is probably normal.

Regarding the HUD issues: If updating SYNC as Sharbotcom advised does not help, then it will probably need hands on diagnosing. Is your 2020 Corsair still within the 4 year/50,000 mile New Vehicle Warranty? If yes, make an appointment to have it looked at. If possible, physically demonstrate the issue to the Service Advisor, and be sure to get them to state they have witnessed it occur.

By doing so, it makes it easier to avoid the dreaded "Could not duplicate the customer concern" diagnosis. Otherwise, we are leaving it up to a hurried Tech to see (or not see) what you see.

Also, if you will need a complementary loaner, tell them so when you call to schedule the appointment, so they can have one available for you that day.

Let us know how you make out and good luck.

Hello, and thank you!
Do they begin to drop down after a few to 10 seconds or so? No. It looks like when I am idle or have the car started, the RPM line stays a little below 1. A YouTuber said the RPM issue is totally normal, even if you are not on Excite mode. I saw that his car was doing it too.

I'll definitely take it in and post if I find anything new. Thanks again!!

Congrats on the CPO!!! I find my '22 has the night mode on auto, but when I restart it at night, the screen takes too long to auto-adjust, so I press the dim button once and it goes back to my setting. Enjoy!!!
