How to reset MyKey on Corsair?

Maybe people who buy that package would find it ridiculous for others to have that feature.

Man, some of the gripes are funny. If you are in business, what is wrong with enticing people to buy something that adds MORE features? Next time, get the technology package.
Buy the technology package for them to add a feature in the app that would cost them nothing to put there in the first place?

Makes sense.

I think it's more than just the app. Based on something I saw in the Mach-E forums, PAAK involves a host of Bluetooth antennas throughout the vehicle. That kinda makes sense as I always wondered why it feels my phone was hyper-connected to my Corsair's Bluetooth.

This might all change in the future with Google and Apple trying to work with automakers and digital keys. But yeah, right now it's an added option to make someone stand out from the crowd.

At least right now you don't need to pay to access door locks and remote start through the Lincoln Way app. Who knows how long it will be free as other manufacturers are starting to charge for doing the simple things (Mazda, Toyota).

As mentioned above:

Phone As A Key (PAAK) is for being able to use your phone as a key.

MyKey is to limit some of the vehicle features to whoever holds that key. For example, a teen driver you can limit their speed, stereo volume, or limit what they can listen to on SiriusXM (e.g. explicit content). You should have 2 Admin keys by default..the ones that came originally with the vehicle. You can then switch one (or add more keys) to be MyKey enabled.

Perhaps something got disconnected and corrupted when things were either being diagnosed or fixed. In any case, this is what I found in the manual for removing your PAAK - doing so also means wiping out your password to start your Corsair without anything present.:

If the Phone as a Key belongs to your account, you can delete it from your phone. If not, reset Phone as a Key using the following steps:

1. Press Settings on the touchscreen.
2. Press General.
3. Press Reset.
4. Press Lincoln Way Connect Reset.
5. Press Reset All.
6. Confirm you would like to continue with erasing all Phone as a Key, Backup Start Passcodes.
7. Press Continue.
8. Confirm you are aware you are de-authorizing all authorized users and Lincoln Way Connect settings.
9. Press Continue.

Note: Please wait while the vehicle resets all the Phone as a Key, Backup Start Passcodes, Lincoln Way Connect Settings and de-authorize previously authorized users.

This is fantastic!

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide this information. I'll try it later this morning.

I just wanted to follow up on this.

My apologies for the thread title. What I actually wanted help with was Phone as a Key.

Thanks to the instructions provided by GapBoy PCS, I was able to reset my vehicle and do a new pairing to my iPhone.

I must say, the Phone as a Key works really well. There have been quite a few times I rushed out to my car, forgetting my keys, and it started thanks to the fact that my phone was in my pocket.

Being an Apple fanboy, I was always upset that their CarKey technology has been extremely limited to just BMW after all these years. I think Genesis is the newest brand to obtain that technology.

So, it's a very nice feeling that although I don't have the official CarKey technology with my Corsair, at least I have the ability to keep the keys at home and drive with just the phone.

Priceless response!!!

How do you figure adding the technology package OR just the PaaK to EVERY single vehicle will cost nothing?

What I’m saying is to add the function of rolling the windows down in the app would cost them nothing. The core hardware is already there….having lte connection. It’s got nothing to do with Bluetooth antenna’s. It’s just has to be turned on in the app.

So look at what decided to show up to my app……Horn and lights.

I knew they could add that function for nothing. Now I’m curious if windows/trunk is coming.

Hi Steve. Locking/Unlocking and Horn & Lights has been a basic feature of the LincolnWay app since 2017-2018. So if those features were not in your LincolnWay app before, or until now, it was a glitch.

And on that same subject: The Global Opening feature on the keyfob can raise and lower the windows and set off the horn/lights. And the range is quite good. I have done it from over 100 yards away.

I understand we all want what we want, but in my opinion...How far away from the vehicle do we realistically need to be able to open and close the windows? Halfway around the world? For what reason?

Hey...I can understand the slim possibility that if I am far away, I may need to unlock the doors to allow someone access to my car. Or if I am completely lost in a parking lot, I may need to honk the horn/flash the lights to find it from a further range than the 100+ yards of the keyfob. However, how many realistic uses are there to open the windows on my unattended vehicle from miles away?

Plus, the reality is...Nothing is free. It is impossible for an automaker to provide every possible feature, which every possible owner can imagine, to every possible owner.

I am not trying to argue, and I certainly know I am not going to convince you to change your mind about this window thing. It is still a free country and we can all hope for what we hope for and express an opinion.
I am simply looking at it from the perspective of...What real world value Lincoln would see in providing such a feature.

And again just my opinion. ;)

Hope you enjoy your vehicle and good luck. 🍻

Hi, thanks for responding to my post. I had originally saw in this thread that the OP’s screen shot showed his app having all those features, so I posted a screen shot of my app only having the ability to remote start and lock/unlock through the app, and at the time asked if it was a Reserve thing only for those extra features. I thought maybe the same as you thought, glitch in the matrix, so I uninstalled the app, along with several new iOS updates, spanning official and beta’s. But the Lincoln Way app was updated yesterday on iOS, so I'm assuming it’s got something to do with that.
