How to find out of lowbeams are on?

Asking for my '06 Town Car. I thought I could just use a fuse tap for the left or right lowbeam fuses (nos. 20 and 22), but those are always ON, no matter if I have switched the lowbeams on or not. Where can I get that signal? I need it to make sure my rear foglights are only on in combination with the lowbeams. I would love to access it from inside the cabin (and avoid going under the hood) but if necessary I will do that, too.

For now I am accessing the lowbeam manual switch on the headlight switch (rightmost switch position) but that will not allow me to turn the foglights on if my lowbeams turn on automatically in the "Auto" setting (leftmost switch position) or with parking lights. Any ideas?

You can grab it on the lo beam power wires out of the LCM.

Right Lo Beam is the DG-OG wire on pin pin 20 of connector C2145C

Left Lo Beam is the DB-WH wire on pin pin 22 of connector C2145C

Pick either one.

Thanks! Is it active-low or active high? (I mean, is it +12V if the low-beams are ON, or is it +12V if the low-beams are off?)

It is the actual power feed to the lamps so it's +12V when the lights are on.

Perfect! Here is a photo of a Town Car LCM. Can you describe which connector is the C2145C? I do not have any information on that, did you get yours from a shop manual? And, if so, where can I find it?

//edit: based on the pin numbers, the C2145C is probably the lower connector?

Oops... one of the the previous connector numbers was wrong...

Left Lo Beam is the DB-WH wire on pin pin 22 of connector C2145D not C

C2145C&D are separate connectors but numbered across both connectors.

I don't have any information on which connectors they are but here are the pinouts with wire colors for the two connectors which should allow you to figure it out.
