How do you like your Continental?

No I use comfort mode and changed the tires. "Quiet" is somewhat subjective so it just may be me. It is a beautiful car design, inside and out, I love the look.

I rented a base Conti with the 3.7 engine for a few weeks before I bought a Reserve with the 3.0TT engine. The former seemed inferior in many ways. It had a harsher sound, for one thing. I feel the extra cost of the Reserve package is worth it; the sweet spot between base and Black Label.

I drove all versions except the Black Label before ordering my Reserve. I agree with you that the Reserve was a nice choice. It has been several years since I drove one with the 3.7 but as I recall, it lacked the silkiness and refined sound of the 2.7 or 3.0.

It's not an engine to listen to. I'm thinking I may try and trade it for an MKZ and recover the options I'm missing yet still have a Lincoln. I can live with a midsize car. It would be too much trouble and money to hunt down a Reserve in as good a shape as my standard.

I have a ZF 6 speed transmission in my Navigator.
It was designed as not being serviceable.
I do not care for that design at all.

Make very sure you drive an MKZ before pulling the trigger. I considered an MKZ before ordering my Conti. After driving one, I was very disappointed. It lacked the feel, ride quality and refinement of the MKS that I had at the time. In fact, it was inferior to the Taurus my wife had.

Yeah, I'm wary. Anyway the MKZ has Auto Noise Cancelling, and I'll be hearing the same crap I'm hearing now--every click whir and whine inside the engine compartment.

I just bought a Ford Fusion S 2020 with 10kmi. It is much quieter, smoother than the Continental. The S is fine for what it is, and, comparitively, is a hushed space.
