Congrats Greg! i, have been working as a contingent nursing assistant, picking up every shift I can, so I\'m flipping from days, to afternoons to midnights. no benefits, no holidays, no set schedule, but it\'s a job, and I\'ve managed to get my own place, and life is not bad at all. -a bit stressful trying to pick up enough shifts, but they know I\'m willing, so they\'re pretty good to me. Hopefully a fulltime slot will open soon.

I\'m still teaching in Virginia... But I\'m also on the hunt again. I love the students and the effect it has on them when the \"light\" goes on... The hours versus the finances... Not so much. At over 60 hours per week with a salary (no OT) it SUCKS. Works out to less than I would get at McDonalds flipping burgers. I don\'t mind the hours so much, as the lack of the OT and the requirement of \"face time\" of basically sitting in my office counting the ceiling tiles during the day, waiting for rehearsals at night.

BTW: There are 10 of them.

When the economy is in the dumper, people have to bust ass to survive. I\'d say that life has been getting in the way for most of us. I don\'t really remember the career-day sign up list, but I\'m pretty certain \"workaholic slave\" wasn\'t on it. I know I never checked that option. WTF happened?

I would like to know when my supervisors are going to remember they promoted me and I am not supposed to being my old job anymore now that I have trained my replacement but they keep coming to me to get the job done. Now if they would go to the person who has been in my old position the longest (the biggest baby and the oldest)... or maybe her baby attitude and unwillingness to learn new things is why they come to me and add on to my ever growing list of shit to get done. Oh, and the baby is sick and I don\'t have enough time to take days off to stay home with her and still go to Hawaii this summer... calgon take me away!

It\'s really time to put the requester on the spot by asking an informative question that requires ~them~ to think and act.
