He is normally a sweetheart, but he\'s very needy. can\'t stand to be left alone (that doesn\'t happen very much in this house, mind you). He can turn viscious with no warning, though...he\'s bitten everyone in the house at least once. Trying to find a good home for him, if my nephew doesn\'t find a place where he can have a dog.
Makes me sad, but I have little ones to think of...
Why is he biting? Is it him trying to be dominant or is it something else?
I\'m not sure how large this Weim is but what I would suggest is if he bites someone, immediately slam him to the ground using the webbing in between your thumb and index finger on his neck/throat. That will simulate the pack leader\'s jaws and pinning him to the ground like that will prove your dominance. Once he is pinned growl your ass off and show him your teeth while doing it. This will reinforce your dominance. Once he either goes limp and quits trying to get up or you feel it has been a sufficient amount of time (he can\'t be trying to get up still) then let him up. Immediately punish him by ignoring him for a significant amount of time. He will learn rather quickly that biting isn\'t acceptable.
If you can\'t get him to stop biting then he does need to go to another home.
