I made through the evening and was pretty much where I needed to be as I needed to be there. I made it to Curves, then I even took the notes at the business association meeting (after all, I am the recording secretary). The kid\'s concert was unique (there were recorders and drums and rain makers for the chorus part of it). My daughter had a saxophone \'solo\' during the band portion. She\'s ten...it was pretty good. and at the Business Association \'Meet and Greet\', I met a lady who does holistic healing. She was interesting. Now I\'m tired. Work tomorrow, so g\'night

I got a new car!!!
FOR FREEE!!
Needs front fenders, hood, front bumper, all lights, radiator, core support, and both air bags.
But its got a new trans, 114k miles, black on black, leather, SLT, 4x4, v8, I mean its worth it to me, ill junkyard serch and repair it, and I mean I could EASILY turn it over.
Gonna fix it, and part the mark, and when I go to PA in the summer my dads turning me over the keys to a new GOOD SHAPE mark in trade for the durango. Gonna keep collecting parts for the mark because Ill be able to save money now that I dont have to fix the car weekly. Im gonna miss it when it goes down, but the motor will live on.
The story is my buddy crashed it(it was his moms). He just bought a 90 f150 for 350 dollars and I looked at it and found it had a blown head gasket/cracked head. So im gonna either fix the motor thats in it, or hes buying the 5.0 from the linc and Im putting it in. My labor is being paid by giving me the durango.
Not a bad deal if you ask me.

If you are going to use a grinder or weld I would suggest at least putting a welder\'s jacket on

Why don\'t you weld underwater then :d. I didn\'t think it was possible, but after seeing someone do it apparently it is.

Mason obviously hasn\'t learned yet to stop picking up trash and thinking it is a bar of gold.

The frame may be OK, but the entire front end would need to get replaced. Fenders, hood, bumper grille, lights, engine, maybe transmission... Part the rest of the truck out and SCRAP IT.

It was a nice idea, but its not worth the work that it would take.

looks much worse then it is.
it fires right up(only ran it for like 1 min cause there is no coolent in it), has a brand new trans, allready found the hood, fenders, grill, and i have a brush guard that im using as a base to build a custom bumper. Got a complete set of front lights for 30 bucks, found a radiator, just need to find the core support i believe.
also got a pass airbag for 100 bucks. Worse comes to worse I make it into a off roader truck. You guys underestimate me. Once I pull off the nose, throw the belt back on, and a new radiator im gonna drive it around and see how it is.
I give dodge props, this thing held up good it hit a dodge van(thats why the impact is on the core support and folded the fenders so bad, but didnt mess up the frame) it was a 30-35 mph collision. EVERYTHING in the nose is connected and metal. The inner fenders are bolted to the core support and fenders and body, fender is bolted to them, body, and core support, I keep finding more giant ass bolts holding this thing together. Its not at my house yet, im not taking it until I have the nose off and have a complete list of what I need. I already found most of the shit in a junkyard thats HUGE locally so.
Have some faith guys... I need this to work out for me, im gonna trade it to my dad in a year or less for a new mark that im gonna build.

It has nothing to do with you. That truck is a total (the cost to fix it is more than 75% of the value of the vehicle). Anything can be fixed, all it takes is time and money. At least in Texas, it\'s illegal for an insurance company to put used air bags in a vehicle. For a shop to do so and put the liability on themselves is ignorant. That\'s cool you want to fix stuff up, but I wouldn\'t drop a ton of cash on it.

Waiting, waiting, waiting...Waiting for tomorrow, when my biopsy results come back (something there, just hoping that it\'s precancerous. Blood tests are not in my favor at the moment -pretty anemic, strangely shaped cells...) waiting for my latest blood tests to come back....waiting for the ME to give his report on my brother\'s death...waiting for my best friend\'s surgery....No sleep last night (no alcohol either), I called out sick from work for the first time in about eight months....tired...

and sick of whining about everything....

I\'m fairly certain it is illegal to re-use airbags everywhere. But if you can find them in a boneyard that haven\'t popped, it\'s all good.

The value of the labor is what will kill this truck, assuming the damage doesn\'t extend behind the radiator supports. It wouldn\'t shock me to find the radiator broke because of PLASTIC end caps that shredded in the crash. Beyond that, yea, the sheetmetal is fragile and replacing it is all labor... But what is under the bruised metal is the question.

Don\'t forget, companies are run by lawyers, and condemning a vehicle is cheaper than defending a lawsuit. That is why they will be so fast to encourage just outright replacement. That, and the cheap chinese shit parts that modern cars are built from.
