so what happened to the Reds? why don\'t THEY subscribe to that theory? guess they really don\'t have to since they had Marge for an owner for all those years.....:freak:

My sister just called me to let me know my mother is in the ER with congestive heart failure, pneumonia, kidneys seem to be shutting down, bad liver (for over 20 years), fell and has a large bump on the back of her head and earlier...didn\'t know what day it was (she\'s been doing that for about 3 months now). I\'m not quite sure how I feel about this right now.

Yea, regrets are worse than anything else. Don\'t have any.

I\'m kinda waiting on a similar call about my grandmother. She\'s 93 and still living in her own home and moving around without any assistance or technology... But the parts are starting to wear out. Her older sister is still alive too, but mentally hasn\'t known what day of the week it is for years. (alzheimers) Her mother had it too, and it seems like she is starting to become forgetful about stuff - like she has the short term memory of an etch-a-sketch in the hands of a parkinson\'s patient. :lol: But lasting into her 90\'s without any major symptoms... Not to bad, ya know?

Being almost deaf as a post, yet refusing to get either a hearing or an eye test (we think she may also be finding it hard to see) makes life difficult too. But she\'s still coherent, it\'s just a worry that she might hurt herself with some harebrained home-cleaning task she gives herself.

Just take it one day at a time.

I am sorry to hear about your mom. Even though you and her don\'t get along, it must be hard. Only you know what can be right for you in this situation, as we don\'t know all the shit. Do what you feel you can live with for the rest of your life though, as stated above, regret sucks.
